Am I the only one feeling like we are beta testers?

I am a big a fan of the Fallout franchise (and Bethesda) as anyone. But after playing Fallout Shelter for a few days now, I have to say this game is very unfinished.

While I do not know if iOS users suffer the same issues, it appears the Android version suffers greatly from bugs.

Now the occational bug is expected in games today, but these are pretty severe ones.

There's a bug completely deleting the saved game file. That is pretty dang bad.

There's a bug giving monsters apparently infinite health, wiping out entire vaults.

These are the type of bugs we should not have to experience from a "finished" game.

The bugs I currently struggle with are:

Objectives not updating - I have to raise the charisma of 9 dwellers. Every time I tap one to upgrade, it' not registered and objective marker stay on 0.

Broken objectives - I need to "Kill 3 nones without a weapon". Are nones some hidden new beast of the wasteland you are introducing to us before F4?

- I finish an objective and get a reward iin caps. That works. I finish an objective to get a luchbox, the animation plays, but I receive no box to open.

Objectives resetting: When I open the game, after closing properly (not just tabbing out) all objectives are reset to 0. I truly hope this is not intentional to keep us playing for longer periods of time.

Deathclaws - I'm not sure this is a bug, but I have no people in my radio room, and noone has left or entered the vault in 24 hours. These were supposed to be elements factoring in on the frequency of deathclaw attacks? And while typing this, I'm on my third, THIRD! deathclaw attack. I mean come on, really? I opened the game as I started this topic and I've been rushing my scientists for stimpacks all the way through. (Maybe not a bug, and me just crying, but I feel som balancing is in order. Less frequent or size of packs maybe?)

I understand this is a free app and you've been rushed for time to release it. I and I'm sure you are working hard on fixing it.

But I believe I speak for many of you users when I ask you: TALK TO US! Give us some updates. How is the work going? Tell us of the bugs you are aware of and working on. We live in the Age of Information, we like to be informed. Show us you are there, and not some unknown, invisible, entity.

I love this game. I really do, and have already spent money on it. But if the game stays being as broken as this, I have to just stop playing.

...four. That's four deathclaw attacks now. щ(?益?щ)

100% agreed. Bethesda likes to keep things quiet and hush and that's okay regarding release dates or leaks, but not being able to communicate with the community of an already published game is fairly different.

There's no ingame way of contacting sone sort of support, nothing, all I get to see when I look for help is a redirection to the gamesas site and a link to this forum.

I mean, it's good to know I'm not alone with my issues regarding Shelter, but c'mon..seriously now.

I'm a big fan of Fallout series, playing it since F1, and I travel a lot, I believe I can say a thing or two about mobile games and fallout series itself.

This game looks like it has been written by a single eastern european IT student, who has a very little knowledge about Fallout universe.

I will not mention bugs, since those were already pointed out by KingWinter, I'm just sure that I will not spend a single dime on the game, since I can easily lose it all seconds after, your decision to publish game in such state and total lack of response is a bad sign for us, are you falling apart Bethesda?

Some things that really really bother me:

- no character creation, this is a big thing in every other Fallout game! Here, completely ommitted, and could be done with very little coding (choosing looks, name and starting skills for a initial dweller/overseer, is that so hard)

- why the hell, do we go out of the value and explore wasteland the minute we got into it!?! Wasn't those done to protect humans from the war? This is really inconsistient and could be done by simply allowing expoloration/welcoming dwellers after X days.

- no quests? really!? It's a must in every Fallout game, and here we have only some crappy achievements. How about a daily quest, where we send a single dweller to deal with some task, success based on SPECIAL skills.

- SPECIAL skills are worthless, only luck counts on expeditions, nothing else, why? Some simple equations on expedition success rates depending on skills, would give the game much more sense and add some value to SPECIAL, except for production times in the vault.

- Leveling up gives only hp, which is unknown by the way, how about giving one random SPECIAL after every 10 levels or so, leveling up would have some sense then.

- Why do you give me the exact information on gained XP if I do not know how much XP is missing to the next lvl, this is completely nonsense.

I know this was suppose to be a simple game, but firstly Bethesda made a big fuzz about it, and the fact that it's actually not completely free, allows us to demand something from a company that develop games for almost 30 years now.

I believe this game wasn't ready to be released. I had a really big problem with this game and some really annoying bugs. Most of them are crazy and destroys the gameplay completely. Such as raiders being able to attack dwellers through walls from other rooms of the vault, and I didn't know what to defend (the room with the raiders or the one being attacked). Or this problem with the invincible radroaches. But the worst problem was the last one...

I had sent a dweller traveling outside to the wasted. He got a really big loot and was coming back. My cellphone didn't run out of battery or was turned off, but after a while when I came back to check on my vault, the game started crashing in the first loading screen. Just after you open the game it crashes and closes. I didn't uninstall the game because I had wasted money on it already and don't wanted to lose my save game. I don't play it anymore if I have to reinstall and lose everything. I always believe Bethesda but they are really invisible right now, and this annoys me. It looks like they don't care about this game issues since it's a free game. But this makes me wonder, what is it gonna be with F4, and all the other games? I'm really rethinking my opini?es about Bethesda...

Oh, about the Deathclaw attacks, they are attracted by building new rooms. That is why you have so many Deathclaw attacks. But anyway, 4 in a roll is crazy... This game sure needs to be remade. And about the things that are missing in this game. Yeah I agree. The person who made this game knows nothing about the Fallout universe. And it svcks...

This is really spot on. They could have involved the Fallout universe a lot better. There is so much unused potential. Why straight to Deathclaws? Why not super mutants? Where's the Overseers office?

Let us just hope they add these things in the future.
