Where to begin, well first I'd like to say that this app has a great "fun" vibe and is very honest about not forcing you to pay for anything. Lunchboxes can be earned via challenges and you can still find items out in the wastes. That said however, I did notice a much better "drop rate" from lunchboxes versus what my vault hunters that I had sent out in the waste would find, even if they had been out for over 17hrs. Probably just a crap RNG setting for the wasteland to make consumers purchase lunchboxes.

Anyways, now for the real issue, I noticed a lot of folks were experiencing crashes/lag on their iPhone 4's. Well unfortunately for them, this game does not support the 4, only the 5 and 6/6 Plus. I have an iPhone 6 and for the most part, everything was going smoothly until I got to 30 Vault Dwellers. The aforementioned Vault Hunter that I had sent out for over 17 hours was running low of stimpacks and had zero radaways left, so I opened the app to bring him home. Then the game crashes, okay, that's happened before. So I open the app again, this time it doesn't even make it past the logo, not even to the Bethesda slide reel, amusingly when I double tap the home button the game shows exactly what my Vault Hunter is doing (on the suspended screen) but it crashes if I try to select it. That's incredibly aggrivating so I tried various methods including but not limited to, resetting my phone, resetting my phone's preferences, taking phone off wifi and trying, on wifi and trying, updating iPhone (to 8.0.3), etc. Nothing worked. So finally I decided to backup my phone and restore it as most apps save their data. Well guess what, this one DOES NOT. I brought the game up, it actually made it past the loading screen, and lo and behold, no saves. Not one. Yeah, great job Bethesda, maybe you should keep the game breaking bugs to the huge open world games, and not have them leak over on the mobile ones. Thank you for making this a free game, otherwise I would be up in arms over this. I'll just keep playing Fallout 3 and NV until November.

I'll definitely be buying Fallout 4, but I'm done with Bethesda applications.

Same thing happened to me, all game apps keep your progress apps, when you have to restore the app, because it freezes, I just did that and lost my freaking 100 dweller vault

For now I keep recommending that people go to the main menu before closing the app. I understand your game crashed but it crashes for me too. It only happens when the game is at the main menu and I locked the phone or the phone locked on it's own. I have an iPhone 5 and all I have to do is close the app and restart it. I have three save games. One main, and two that I experiment with. It has never crashed on me once I am in game.

To get to the main menu, go to the small gears icon for the http://i.imgur.com/LfujnTF.jpg. On that menu is an option to go to the http://i.imgur.com/hYOTQSp.jpg. Go to the Main Menu before closing the app or locking your Phone or Tablet.

I tried to go to the main menu, but it wouldn't do anything it was stuck on eulogy jones profile, I couldn't click on. Anything else

This game is fun (When it's not constantly crashing) Glad I didn't spend any money on it! Nor would I ever with these crashing issues...

I use an iPad 3, and it has never crashed. I guess after reading this I won't be starting a vault on my iPhone 5 lol.

I've been playing since it released on the iPhone 6 Plus and I haven't had a crash....yet.

In any case, I hope they release some sort of update soon if this is happening to a lot of people.

Like several others I am experiencing consistent crashing while trying to load my vault. I am running it on an iPhone 6 with iOS 8.3. The app always starts at the main menu now, and when I select the vault it appears to be loading then the app stops. I have tried the suggestions posted here: closing app, rebooting phone. Neither of these suggestions helped. I am not going to reload the app since I know that will cause me to lose my vault. I started a second, new vault, which works fine so far. After successfully launching the new vault, I tried going to the main menu and relaunching my old one. It still crashed. I am hanging onto my old vault in hopes this bug is fixed and I can get it back. Otherwise I'll need to test how well the refund process works for the in game purchases I made that are tied to that vault.

I realize this is a new game and, from what I understand, the first attempt by gamesas at a mobile/iOS app, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that there are bugs. The thing that bothers me is that the in-game purchases I've made are all tied to the broken vault.

I would recommend people NOT buy lunchboxes until the crash issues are resolved, unless they don't mind losing their investment after just a day or two.
