Invincible MOLERAT Bug

Post » Sat Feb 13, 2016 6:28 pm

So after creating a new vault I had about 31 people and my store room empty for 5 minutes. I then got a Molerat attack within that room, which then spread to the other rooms before I was able to react to it. After a pretty gruelling battle with the little devils I managed to whittle them down to 1! One Molerat was left, oh I was so happy, I could actually go back to playing the game!! But no this was no ordinary Molerat, this Molerat was a special Molerat and was stood in MY diner. Now I don't know about you, but when I'm trying to eat I don't want fat ugly naked Molerats running around biting me, id kill them! Before I knew it was invincible this was my plan, so I funnelled all of my best warriors in. Dead. Then I thought id step it up so ended up feeding this Molerat 19 other dwellers each armed to the teeth (I have a thing about making sure ALL of my dwellers are armed just in case of Moletats or other critters). Nah, they all died too. Every single one of them. Thats 22 people dead. I thought it must be me, I thought I wasn't doing something right. So I revived my best warrior, gave him a FatBoy and sent him... to his death. I really thought this was going to be the one, this was the vault I could show my friends, family, grandparents and even strangers at the bar. Then everyone died. I spent money on this bloody thing, two sets of 5 Lunchboxes. I paid and now my dwellers are dead. I feel like I've hired a hitman or something! But yeah back to the story. I'll remind you of where we left it; everyone is dead. So I'm sat staring at everyone dead thinking ahhh hell what am I going to do now, well that was already sorted for me, screen froze completely (couldn't select anything or any of the menus) app crashed and sent me back to my home screen! I thought YES it might not have saved because it crashed! I reopened the app with hope flooding my body, loaded the vault. Everyone was dead. There was no Molerat, just a lot of dead dwellers (31 to be exact). Thankfully there is a silver lining, I had enough caps to revive one female and one male and am now trying to rebuild my vault with a 29 dead dwellers. So I've got that going for me. Which is nice.

To sum up the explanation above:

- Molerat spawn into store room due to no dwellers in there.

- Molerats spread to other rooms.

- Killed them all apart from one in the diner.

- Sat in the centre of the diner stuck on attack animation with no other movement.

- Send 31 dwellers in (in a stream not all at once) all with weapons of attack values of 5 or above.

- Molerat did not die, just stayed on the attack animation.

- Screen froze (animation, menus and movement) then app closed.

- Come back into game and load vault, everyones dead.

- Wasted my money and life on all my dead dwellers and writing this post as i couldn't play the game with 2 dwellers #crying.

Thanks for the help! Hope you fix this bug soon, good luck!

Epic rant bro... it does svck though since im sure most of us have put money into this game and yet we still have these crazy random bugs that completely ruin the gaming experience which is expected in any fallout game but it wouldnt be so bad if the mods would at least acknowledge us and post a thread about the known bugs assuring us that an update will come soon.

Yeah man it really does, a lot of time is invested in this game and its kinda wasted when bugs happen! I dont know why android seems much buggier than iPhone though.

I registered just for this... my email to Bethesda that sent me here: Hi, i love your game, except the glitches. Some are fine like health bar remaining for no reason. But i just had around 30 dwellers killed by a mole rat infestation that would not die because one of them could not be killed. Let me start by saying i have mole rats all the time, each room can handle it and maybe sometimes a dweller or 2 dies... not often though. The infestation spread from my storage rooms because no one was there, which is normal. But i finally had all but one mole dead when i kept sending dwellers into this one room. 20+ dwellers, most of which were lvl 20-35 with sawed off shotguns or better (mostly better) were killed blasting away until all but one dweller was dead. I realized it was a glitch and restarted the game where the once invincible mole rat was almost instantly killed. I spent more than 4000 caps reviving and more than 15 are still dead. Please fix, and maybe compensate me for the glitch which turned my vault into an expensive graveyard?

Bethesda: throwing some caps and lunchboxes or something out would really help keep paying customers paying again instead of bashing and abandoning your game. That and fix some bugs, but thats obvious

I've had this same glitch happen to me twice now. First time really made me angry but I cooled down and recovered. Now after all that time wasted recovering from the first instance of this bug it has occurred again. Unless something is put out confirming they are working on this and some kind of compensation, or at least just the caps to revive my dead dwellers, I will most likely be uninstalling the game. It's a great game but spending so much time and then losing it to a bug is way too annoying and a huge waste of my time.
