I haven't opened my game in about a week, and I see the new update. From what I gather from looking at the other posts, there is a limit on the number of dwellers you can have in the wastelands.


Now, I had sent something like 40-50 out last week, and now I accepted the new Fallout 4 lady into my vault, but I cannot let my other people waiting in line into the vault. Every time I click on them to get the gear they acquired, my game freezes, and the hud disappears completely, leaving my dwellers still moving, but I am unable to click on anything, causing me to exit the app, and totally restart it.


I want to use my lunch boxes and let my dwellers in but I can't, anyone know of a fix for this issue?

Try clicking on the wasteland itself not on the dwellers waiting in the line. That fixed the problem for me, at least temporarily, until I load the game again. When I load again, the bug returns but once again, I can click on the wastelands and I'm good to go.

I have the exact same issue. Going to try Monikam's solution now. I hope the devs fix this soon.

I had exactly the same problem, although I only had 8 dwellers in the Wasteland so I'm not sure it's anything to do with being over the explorer cap. Tapping on the wasteland instead of the dweller fixed the problem for me too.

My game freezes and all the control icons disappears when I click on anything wasteland related.

Unfortunately the wasteland tapping fix does not work for me. In fact the bug itself is triggered by both tapping the wasteland and from the character menu.

same here, tapping the wastelands has the same effect as tapping a waiting explorer. the UI disappears and the game freezes. i read that android users fixed the issue by hitting the back button after the freeze happens. sadly we iOS players don't have that option.

I have the same issue...game freezes when tapping anywhere in the wastes to check on explorer status or to collect from returned dwellers. However in my case it's not related to the number of dwellers in the wasteland as it does with the number of dwellers waiting in line to get back into the vault.

I had several new dwellers waiting in line to get in (got them in lunch boxes), but I had no room to let them in since I'm maxed out at 200. When several returning dwellers came in and got in line behind them is when the bug manifested itself.

The workaround linked to by pandaposse worked for me. At least I can get my returning dwellers into the vault now.
