How do I destroy Living Quarters

Post » Sat Feb 13, 2016 1:42 pm

I would like to destroy one room (Living Quarters) but it keeps giving me an error saying my Vault would be overpopulated. I am currently at 25/30 dwellers. What must I do ? Thanks.

Don't delete it if you have any pregnant dwellers, they will be stuck in permiment pregnancy.

if you are currently at 25/30, it seems like destroying a dwelling would put it down to something like 25/20, so it's preventing you from doing so.

Try building your new dwelling first and then deleting the old one.

That's the thing, how do I know how many dwellers a Living Quarters counts for. It can be inhabited by two, but that's obviously not how many it counts for. Is there an info table that would allow me to see how many dwellers I must get rid of before I can destroy it? I did upgrade two other Living Quarters in an attempt to solve this problem but it still won't allow me do destroy it.

Also, is there any drawback in having pregnant dwellers?

Each single unit, level 1, living quarters counts for 8 dwellers.

And pregnancy means you cannot send that person to the wasteland or use them durring any disasters.

if you tap on the living quarters, and then look in the upper right, you will see an arrow icon pointing upwards. this is the upgrade button, allowing you to upgrade the dwelling.

from that screen, it shows you the total population that the dwelling adds and how mich it will upgrade to if you upgrade it.

i dunno the formula, but i do know a fully upgrade 3x sized dwelling can support 40 dwellers. so you only need 5 of those.

also...if you are referring to the 1 single size living quarters they make you put on the first floor during the tutorial...if you built anything to the right of it, the ga,e won't allow you to destroy it, unless you build all the way to the edge and then put an elevator connecting to the second floor. it won't let you destroy any room if it will leave other rooms unconnected to the rest of the vault

I'm working on a Wiki type page for all the Rooms. When you look at the upgrade screen for one of the living quarters you see the total space the room is providing in addition to all the others. So for example if you have three double wide Barracks at 26 Living Space each then you have room for 78 Dwellers. The game doesn't tell you that the room provides you with 26 living space individually for the vault. Here is the breakdown of the https://github.com/Sharlikran/fsdoc/blob/master/Rooms/LivingQuarters.md. It's not finished yet so don't expect everything to be there at the moment.
