Thumbs up!
That would be very very cool! How about pet can carry stimpacks/radaway or help in different ways?

I'm not sure how PETA would react to this if they died but you'd need a large amount of stimpacks and rad-away to keep the pet alive as well, assuming it'll be a dog. It might not happen because pets weren't allowed in vaults to begin with.
Robot dwellers. we need F.I.S.T.O to guard door and make baby dwellers. Even Harkness can get the job done.
The same way PETA reacts to everything.
... But honestly, who cares about PETA? Other than PETA themselves I mean.
They could be brought in from explorers.
My idea was this: Basically, they act as a sort of "Second armor with Health that consumes resources and attacks Raiders and Radroaches but not fires". They have their own stats, half of which is added onto the dweller they're following. They are found out in the wastes, and brought home by explorers. However, they can be given to other dwellers (even children).
On top of this, they give a happiness bonus to the dweller in question.
Downside however is that they consume resources like dwellers do. Plus they have health so they can die.
Possible pet ideas include:
- Dogs (most common)
- Mole Rats
- Radroaches (oh the irony)
- Bloatflies
- Duraframe Eyebots (consumes power instead of Food/water)
- Roboscorpions (ditto)
- Radscorpions
- Those bloodsvcker things from the FO4 trailer
- Geckos of varying types.
- Nightstalkers
- Cazador (moderately rare)
- Wannamingos (this game isn't canon anyway.)
- Yao Guai (Rare)
- Deathclaws (VERY rare)
How often and what kind of pet they get is determined by Charisma (making it actually useful out in the wastes for a change).
Robot Dwellers:
I had the idea on these too.
Basically: You get them either by finding them out in the wastes, or from traders or from "Super Raids", the last two of which are summoned randomly from the Radio Station instead of (just) dwellers. Anyway, Robot Dwellers a bit like Legendary Dwellers in that they come with higher SPECIAL than normal dwellers (or at least two of them. Endurance and one other stat. The rest are all 1s. Exception being Gutsies which are straight 5s.) However, these come with downsides. First, the SPECIAL is 100% static. Robots cannot be trained. Secondly, some robots (IE Sentry Bots) cannot do certain tasks. Some cannot put out fires, and some cannot explore (Due to having no hands to pick anything up with or being too slow). Secondly, they cannot be given weapons or armors (They come with weapons of their own).
Robots also do not count towards your vault limit. They cannot breed (well, duh), and cannot acquire or own pets. Finally, they do not consume food or resources. Instead, they consume power. If the bar goes in the red, they shut off.
Heres my proposal on stats:
Eyebot (Common): High Charisma (even though this doesn't mean anything), Very low endurance. Can explore, but doesn't gather materials. Instead it acts like an explore-and-forget version of the Radio station, though much slower than even a 3x1 staffed by a single char1 dweller. If assigned to a room other than the radio station it won't contribute anything but will make the dwellers in it happier.
Protectron(common): High Perception, low endurance. Cannot explore (too slow). Cannot put out fires. Comes with a laser pistol equivalent.
Cyberdog (uncommon): Basically just acts like a robot version of a pet dog, but stronger.
Handy (common): High Agility, low endurance. Can Explore, can put out fires. Comes with a halved flamethrower. Can own a pet (but can't acquire any of its own).
Robobrain(uncommon): High Intelligence, moderate endurance. Can put out fires. Can explore. Uses a mesmetron attack which does no damage but randomly causes raiders and radroaches to attack each other.
Roboscorpion(uncommon): (Honestly I don't know.) Can explore. Comes with a blue version of the laser rifle that does more damage.
Gutsy(Uncommon): 5 in all stats. Cannot put out fires. Can Explore. Uses a Plasma Pistol.
Sentry Bot (rare): High Endurance, 1s in all other stats. Moves VERY fast. Cannot Explore (no hands). Can put out fires (missle launcher replaced with fire extinguisher). Comes with a Minigun. Will not contribute to production if assigned to a room.
Securitron MK I (rare): High Strength, Moderate-high endurance. Can put out fires. Can Explore. Comes with a 9mm machine gun.
Hover Robot (Tactics) (Uncommon): Very Low Endurance. Cannot contribute to production. Comes with a Missile Launcher.
Rex: 6 ST, 8 PE, 8 EN, 1 CH, 1 IN, 8 AG, 5 LK. Acts like a pet.
K9: 6 ST, 9 PE, 8 EN, 3 CH, 6 IN, 8 AG, 7 LK. Acts like a pet.
Skynet: 8 ST, 7 PE, 6 EN, 1 CH, 10 IN, 7 AG, 5 LK. Can be equipped with weapons. Can put out fires. Can explore.
