Yeah they would never respond on this forum. They'd be mobbed. I can only imagine the reaction if it turns out they are delaying the construction kit so they can add in console support. (The whole website gimmick for downloading mods for consoles)

Maybe they should just post it on a toilet wall in a subwaystation nearby...

Either you want your players to notice it... or not.

But in all games i took part in in the last two years, social media was catered first.

It's, besides making games for all platforms, resulting in a mess for everyone (crippled game for PC with stupid UI, horrible performance for consoles), the trend.

No sense doing work with no pay off. We already see what happens when patch notes are released. Backlash that the wrong list of things was addressed.

Further, if Beth is an agile Dev shop, the precise contents of a release probably aren't finalized until very close to release anyway. I can't imagine the violence that would ensue if the announced patch content and then changed their mind a couple weeks later.

Patience. The last patch just came out. Beth takes a while for patches. I learned my lesson with Skyrim, it was so broken on PS3 I shelved the game for 6 months after release. Got Fallout 4 day one and didn't really have any issues on my first playthrough but decided to shelf it anyway after 150 hours and wait for all the DLC to come out and mods to get polished.

Is it right to have to wait for these fixes? No. But it's Bethesdas MO and I'm not going to complain because it is pretty much expected at this point. Buyer beware and all.

I am sure they are aware. It is certainly one of those things that needs to be addressed, but I have a feeling that it's a much more difficult fix that the ones they've already addressed as it is apparently multi-console and effects the game code on so many levels.

1.4 beta was added a few days ago to the depot. There's also been quite a few updates to it during the week. It follows the same pattern as the other beta patches where a beta is added to the depot + gets a few updates, only to be released a few days after. My tip is next week :)

The only thing that's been broken for me is that absolutely horrendous performance that ive had. Been trying to tweak it many times over these past months but ive not got it anywhere near where I want it. And before people start giving me tips, trust me, ive delved deep inside of this thing.

Fallout 4 has crashed a few times but then its a PC game, I would be a bit suspect if it didn't do that from time to time. Really I am just hoping that some optimization work can be done since ive seen some reviewers talking about the game with some really badass hardware that also get the exact same issues, so its not just something weird with my specific machine. I am glad I dont have a ATI card, from what I hear those are even worse that what my 960 is putting out. And I shudder to think what the loading times are like for people without SSDs.

If there is one thing I am certain about every game developer who is making patches ever, if there's something that bad in the game then they are intensely aware and are wracking their brains trying to figure out a solution. Game development isn't a series of switches, if we dont have a fix for something that bad happening then the fixes they have tried have broken things even more during extensive testing.

I'll second that one. Load times have to be my number one issue with this game.

Cool. Quick question about the DLC tab - Is it correct? I mean if it is we know how many DLC's are coming.

Are they really that bad?

I'm playing unpatched right now and the loads seem a lot faster than they were on the Xbox One (1.2). Aside from settlements it loads fast enough that at times I get a fade to black and then I'm in the next area without a loading screen.

Edit: Appreciate any info because I was thinking of updating to a newer patch, but I know they can really mess with the game.

We can expect at least 3 DLCs from what I can tell, but there might be more added in the months to come.

True, but this makes me curious. Will we get a Skyrim situation? Two huge DLC, and a small one? Will we get a hi-res resolution DLC this time around? Argh, now i have all the questions, but no answers! Thanks for the link though, nice to have the site. Also 3 milliion registered users on Steam? Holy shizz.

really strange how the game behaves for different people.

i have (next to) no problems at all. game is installed on HD, saves reside on SSD and get deleted frequently. no problems with loading times.

system is some years old...i5 with gtx660... no problems with crashes, even with some mods installed.

no stutters, rarely graphic glitches. of course i'm not playing on ultra settings... my old eyes wouldn't notice the difference anyway ;)

game crashed frequently on my wifes machine with an identical setup (same problem with witcher3, but nothing else). turned out to be the graphics card... replaced it and since then no problems.
