There was a post in the android forum by Thadir that he skipped the objective to survive molerat attack without any deaths. Sure enough I had the same objective and was able to skip it. I am able to open my vault without crashing now.


You have to do the skip quickly or the game will just crash. I was at 0/8 on the objective and Thadir had one more left before completing it.


Hopefully this works for some of you. What a bad bug.

Same as you, somehow i managed to fix it... The steps i did were those:

- Backup my save games to PC

- Uninstall the APP v1.3

- Install the APP 1.2.1

- Set the time some hours before the crash happened

- Start the game

- The vault loads. After this, I skip the mission i think i was getting problems, which was "send 14 dweller to the wasteland"

- Save the game by exitting the game

- Set the time normal again

- The vault loads and everything seems to work fine.

so u mean it's caused by a mission? i did backup and reinstalled 1.2.1. now i can play normally. should i try to update again? i passed the 3 old missions now it's 3 new ones

For myself, I had about 2-5 seconds after the game loads before it crashes. All I did was to get to the objective screen and skipped the "Survive .. molerat ..." quest before the game crashed. I was able to skip it and the game crashed. But after that I started the game up and it loaded fine and haven't gotten a crash since then. What is weird is that I picked up the "Survive 10 molerat ..." object and it hasn't affected the game. It's still runs normal.

I don't know if it will fix what is happening to you, as another person says the game immediately crashes and doesn't have enough time to be able to skip the objective. It is not like gamesas confirms that it's a bug, and I did it based on a tip from someone in the android support forum doing it.

How can you go back to v1.2.1? If possible, I would go back to v1.1. It allows legendaries in wasteland.

Just tried to adjust iPad time back to the moment before crash. Able to open vault but crash right any activity.

We need response from Bethesda.

I have emailed MULTIPLE times in the last 12 days (which is the last time I was able to open my vault), and have been ignored. I escalated my complaint to iTunes.

Report a problem with Apple to get a refund. I have been refunded most of my money instantly, and 2 small purchases are pending refund. I'm hopeful I will get all my money back. You should too. Here's the website I used:

Long time lurker/ first time poster.

This issue prompted me to finally sign up so I could voice my frustration, since the "support" link seems to do nothing but send automatic emails.


I've had this crash twice. First time, I was only locked out of the game a few days before reading about the possible fix (deleting the molerat challenge). After nearly a dozen attempts to get to it in time, it finally worked. Even if it meant skipping the lunchbox prize.

About 3 days later, the challenge comes back, with 6 attacks instead of the previous 5, and a Mr. Handy prize instead of a lunchbox. But it's been about 3 weeks since then, and not matter what I try, I can't delete it the 2nd time.

So players, BEWARE: even if you skipped it already, it could still come back.

I've requested refunds for the 5 pets, 10 Mr. Handys, and 20 lunchboxesI've paid for since August. Never again.


Bethesda, step up.

* Game: Fallout Shelter

* device: Ipad Air 2

* Operating system: IOs 9.2

* Updated gaame over existing build

* auto update of Apps is on so game updated automaticly

* device was reset with no solution

* App deleted and re installed with no solution


I can create new vaults, do not know if they eventualy crash, I have no interest in developing new vaults, my original and developed vault crashes after trying to load, I did get a cat and placed it, a mole rat atack was in proces when game cut out, and now the game crashes in the proces of loading that vault.


Tried reporting to support got an email teling me to look for help from other players on forum! This gentleman is no support, was given 96 hours to post problem or they asume it was fixed, so I am posting this beside the other bunch of similar reports that have gotten 0 responses from support or developer staff.


PD: got a second email from ZeniMax Online Custumer Support Survey, you have the gaul to send auto servey request about your support when there is nothing you can call support! Can somone at least respond and tell us there is a problem at that you have a dead line for fixing it?
