I am running the games since a few weeks on a Lenovo IdeaTab S6000-F Android 4.2.2

Everything always went fine and 2 days ago, the game start crashing a few seconds after the loading screen appears. Since I don't want to lose everything, I didn't uninstall/reinstall. I read a few threads and did the following :

-Forced stop the app and restarted it : No success

-Cleared cache : No Success

-Tried in Airplane Mode : No Success

Getting the same thing on my GalaxyTab4 - same AndroidOS version.

Asus memo pad 7.

The same, it crashes in all attempts to start.

UPDATE: I looked into the folder of the game, trying to backup my game and the file has 0 kb of size.

Well yeah, the point is to avoid losing all, but I guess there are no chance that happens :/

Same problem here on Galaxy S3 Android 4.3. It happened straight after I had a phone call while the game was running which I guess has corrupted the save.


Game crashes regularly too, not to mention the UI bugs so I'll wait until an update makes it playable before starting again.

Same problem with my iPad Air today. Really don't want to lose progress and purchases.

This happened to me too

I didn't even take the call I immediately hanged up but it was too late.

Guys I've been playing for two weeks already and now suddenly started to crash, unlike some topics I read, my data wasn't deleted.

There's no way to fix it or I'll have to wait a update?

I'm having the same problem. My game stopped working correctly when my battery died on my phone during game play. I have a Nexus 6 running Android 5.1.1

I am pretty sure just the Vault1.sav file is corrupt. I backed up my save folder, uninstalled/reinstalled the game and it loaded up fine fresh. I played the game for a bit and then copied the .sav file back and the same problem crops back up.

I copied the reloaded .sav file back and the game boots up fine on that game. Hopefully we can get a blue post recognizing this problem? I'd love to see some sort of release to fix a corrupted .sav file. I really really want my vault back. I have spent 10+ hours playing. I can imagine anyone who put cash into this game would feel super let down if they get this problem too.

Actually in hindsight looking at the .sav file it has 0kb size where my vault 2 has 47 kb size. I'm pretty sure there's no recovery from that. Either i'm done playing this game or I'll be backing up my data regularly. And no way in heck will I be spending money on this game with a crash problem this bad.

It just crashed every time when i open the app. I've deleted the app and re-downloaded it but just after few days it starts to crash again.

I have same problem, happened last week. Start up game, I get fallout shelter screen, then it goes black (which it didn't used to) then the Bethesda studios screen followed by the please wait loading screen, the little wheel spins for few seconds then game closes itself.

I had been holding around 190-196 dwellers (purposefully killing off ugly newcomers from radio rooms to make room for the pretty ones, don't judge me!) and 16 or 17 floors, and a fair few dwellers almost max stats and sweet gear and guns and I had a lot of good dwellers out exploring who are likely dead and have disappeared now. So this happening is very disappointing and have no intention of starting a new one.

Your game files have been lost, there is a issue with writing back to the save game on application suspend. You can check this by using a fire explorer and viewing the game data files.

I've decided to play again but seriously I'm backing up my data every day. I don't mind if it crashes and I lose a days worth of progress. This game is pretty easy to recover from if bad things happen so I won't be scrumming, But on the note of cheating with this problem I don't see why someone couldn't just buy a bunch of lunch boxes and then tell the Google play store the game save file 0ed out and they would refund.

Is there any way to fix the crash?

Google Play allows refunds for defective in-app purchases, and since the only tech-support I've gotten is a re-direct to here - with the solution to give up and let those purchases be erased - I'm submitting my receipts to them. I'll update with any news.

update: all purchases fully refunded. I can't post links, but just google "android app refunds." Don't know if it's as easy for iOS users but best of luck.

Just started having issues today. I was playing earlier and everything was fine. Now I try to go in, I get the Bethesda screen, then the first wait screen, and then it kicks me out to my phone.

I tried restarting my phone... No good.

I tried resetting my data connection. Nope.

I looked for an updated. Nada.

I closed the app, restarted the phone, and reset my connection. Denied.


I am on an Android based phone, 5.1.1 android version. LG G Stylo model, also called an LG- H631.


I am slightly worried there are so many posts about this but no replies.
