You need to specifically say in your comment you've reinstalled the app, rebooted the device, and written Bethesda.

I wanted to add my name to this hat, I noticed my leveled up characters for awhile and assumed they would have trouble if they went to wasteland, but miss click and now I am sol as well, and word on when this may get fixed?

No timeline mentioned. Just that they are looking into it.


Past updates have been 40 to 65 days. We are now 45 days since the last update. No promise it'll be fixed with this next one, whenever they patch it.

Set the time some hours before the crash, recall 50+ dwellers, Set the time normal again

Holy crap that worked. I've been locked out of the game with the 50+ level bug since Dec 18.

I have one vault that is completely locked and I cannot even get in to change anything. It crashes as soon as the Welcome pops up so I cannot remove any dwellers or make any changes.

I have tried setting the time back on the device to several hours, and even days, before the last save game shows. Any other advice?

the same thing has happened to me while on my iphone 5s. Usually it got very unstable (freezing and lagging) a lot due to the amount of things I have in the vault. Then four days ago, I only could load my for about 10 to 12 seconds, the time was consistent. Now it won't even open, it simply crashes whenever it tries to go into the vault. I've been trying several things,but none seem to be helpful.

One interesting thing here, is that people have a pet (cat) allowing you to be above level 50. I do have the cat, but I only have 50 level dwellers. I did NOT send the cat to the wasteland. I have tried making more space in my iphone, but I believe that 1.5 Gb free should suffice. I have NOT deinstalled the game.

Hey all. If you send a dweller with an experience level higher than 50 into the Wasteland, we’re aware that it can cause the game to freeze and prevent this vault to load after restarting the game. Just adding to the list of angry customers who spent time and money on this game. I found by not sending my lvl 50+ to waist still allowed me to save/load. Just wish since so many ppl have issue they would fix. Might boycot Bethesda all together.

I'm having the same issue. I tried the clock fix but I only get an extra second or switch. I tried it on multiple iOS devices (iPad, iPhone 5, and iPhone 5s). Bethesda, any timeline for a fix?

I was just about to purchase a bunch of lunch boxes to celebrate my first dweller with full SPECIAL stats. She was at level 79 which I now realize was a glitch in the game. I sent her to the wasteland and poof...hours of gameplay wasted. Now I know why it's called the wasteland. Glad I didn't waste any cash on this junk.
