Fallout Shelter - Coffee Break Dwellers

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 3:16 am

Dear Bethesda,

I have been playing Fallout Shelter on my iPhone 6, and just welcomed my one-hundredth dweller to the vault today. I find it a very fun game, and look forward to my two-hundredth vault member down the road. However, with so many people in the vault, and a hundred more to come, I anticipate it becoming trickier to see which lazy dwellers are bumbling about drinking coffee instead of working.

I thought of something that may be an easy update, and could help players track down their lazy workers. The large gear button brings up a full list of a player's vault dwellers, listing their current health, level, SPECIAL skills, and so on. There is also a green bar showing their current job, or a red bar if they are out exploring. My idea was to have a yellow bar appear for any dwellers who are on a coffee break, and possibly even a blue or pink bar for the child dwellers.

It would be a small change to an already great game, but I just thought I'd share the idea if any future updates to the game were going to be made.

Thank you for all you do, and I am especially looking forward to Fallout 4! You all are the best!

A fan from Vault 101,

ScooterJack

Or you could just tap the gear and then tap the "JOB" title.

People on COFFEE BREAK group up and float at the to of the list....

^^ That

Coffee Break always appears at the top, and Child at the very bottom.

That would be really good too, and maybe a way to sort dwellers by their best SPECIAL attribute to see if they're working in the best room or not.

Scooter, we're saying that this already is a thing in the game. When sorting by job, dwellers on "coffee break" always appear at the top of the list, and children are always at the bottom.

Though, sub-sorting would be a welcome addition.

Additional to what GhostWolfe posted about sorting by JOB, you can also sort by SPECIAL. Tap SPECIAL and it sorts the list by Strength, tap it again and it sorts by Perception, keep tapping and it will cycle through the attributes.

It isn't sorting the dwellers by their "best" SPECIAL attribute, but it does sort the dwellers by that attribute. That is to say, sorting by Strength will list the strongest dwellers first, but that does not mean that the strongest dweller doesn't have a higher SPECIAL attribute other than strength.

I don't know if it's what Scooter means, but I'd like to be able to choose secondary sorting.

e.g. While having dwellers sorted by Strength, if I could sub-sort them by job (or vice-versa), floating high S dwellers who are also currently unemployed to the top.
