Fallout shelters as multiplayer online game.

Now FOS turn out to be quite successful. I have an idea for next incarnation of Fallout shelters on mobile platform.

How about turning FOS into competative multiplayer empire building game?

I mean kind of empire building game like Settlers series or Anno series (from Ubisoft). Vault is something similar to medieval castle. Self contained resource/space/population limited community for defense and production with occasional trade and war.

The raiders are actually dispatched team from other vault. The radio studio and high happiness will attract dwellers from other vaults. Each vaults will compete for resource and talented dwellers. Happy dweller will pay tax. It is source of vault revenue.

Vaults can trade extra power food and water ( and dwellers or baby too) with other vault using delivery team and truck. It can be hijacked by raiders too. Each vault can produce some luxury commoditis to earn more CAPs.

It will be some cross between mobile farm management game and warring game. (Hay Day + Clash of Clans) It will have much less war and combat tactics aspects than CoC but more community oriented and have strong management and trade aspects. War will be very expensive option in terms of CAP and dweller population..

I am playing both CoC and Hay Day. and I am bored of endless war of CoC and endless peace of Hay day. I think that Fallout themed mobile game can break such mold and make a game that has both war and peace in a game.

I like the base of the idea but I have a few tweaks. Personally I don't entirely like the idea of a full scale online game because for starters you can't play it any were and there's always someone who is better than you. But I think you should be able trade armor, resources, weapons, caps, and dwellers with other players like through a trade caravan but not through trucks because there are no cars in the wasteland but your can send dwellers with the trade caravan to increase the chance that it reaches its destination safely. Also I don't think other people should be able to attack you cuz if you anger someone they can just send hundreds of raides after you. Other than that I like most of the idea. A cool idea I had... as most any fallout fans should know the vaults were made not to preserve the human race but to experiment on it so you should be able to make a room where you can experiment on dwellers and when each experiment is complete it gives them a positive or negative impact example positive + 3 strength negative - 3 strength or a small chance that you can turn them in to a super mutant that Maxes there strength and endurance but lowers intelligence or something and when they are a super mutant (a permanent effect) they cannot get radiation but they cannot wear armor I think that's a cool idea. Another one if a dweller has lots of radiation for a long time like 3 days or something they should become a goul and they have a chance to become feral but I think this should be an option that you can turn on or off in the settings but anyways when they are a goul if you send that dweller into the wasteland they won't be attacked by gouls. Also hard core mode option with weight limitations when getting items in the wasteland. Last idea you should be able th copy vaults and put them on a different device.

Also I don't like the idea of calling in dwellers from other peoples vaults.

One thing I like to have in such game is Sims-like social interaction among dwellers.

Dwellers are not nameless soldier, only to be trained in barrack and go fight and die. They were born in the vault and raised to advlt and conscripted as soldier and may die in war. You will remember their name and feel pain if they die. You have christened their name. Each dweller will have personal history.

You will have strong emotional attachment to each dwellers of your vault. You will protect them and feed them like a father as overseer.

It will be your castle in your hand. You are lord of the castle and dwellets are your peasant and knight and officers and followers of you.

Each dweller will be important and count. You will be more than willing to pull the credit card to protect your castle and your followers from enemy threat. :)
