apple probably had a deal to get their port first. Kinda like the whole dlc deal Bethesda did with Microsoft so skyrim and new vegas DLCs released first on the 360.

I'll try it because it is free but if it was a paid app I would probably not buy it. Exactly 60 days sounds like they were paid by Apple for a timed exclusive and I try not to support companies who pull that crap.

It's might actually be because they rushed to release it during E3 together with their fallout 4 preview so they did not fully developed it for android:o come on not everything is a money grabbing scheme haha plus they made 5.1 million from iOS alone so Apple would probably have had to pay them another 5.1 million or more not to release it on iOS. From what I've read Bethesda is quite a good gaming company too:) fallout shelter is one of the only game that makes me feel like I can play it with no one trying to exploit me for money eg rigged rng, low chances, tons of ads etc.. Fallout shelter rocks!

Has anyone seen any word on which Android tablets will be supported? I've been thinking of getting a new tablet but don't want to have issues with the game not being compatible.

Deathclaws?? If they are set to come in a wipe out half my vault I am done, that is no fun. There is hardly a chance to stop them...this is not needed and takes the fun away from the game imo.

Will the new patch for IOS version come out on the 13th Aug, same day when Android version will come out? I hope so, but I afraid not.

With so many people is stucked by the crash problem and various severe bugs, there must be patch as soon as possible, at least some promise to address such problems.

Deathclaws only appear during the Wasteland exploration and only after more than a day of exploration ... once you get higher level characters with good weapons (not too difficult once you start exploring the wasteland) the Deathclaws are little difficulty ... some of my level 50 characters (the max) with high end Legendary weapons and decent outfits are exploring more than 100 hours before they need to be recalled (and they are easily killing Deathclaws and the other high end encounters that occur 60+ hours into exploration)

Ok thanks for the reply kbrick--I am new to the game and just remember Deathclaws being a nightmare in previous Fallout games. That restores my faith.

The biggest risk to beginning vaults with few weapons and low level dwellers are fires, radroaches, and raiders (the only things/events that attack your vault directly) ... fires there isn't much you can do other than get higher level people who can survive flame damage while they fight the fires (also, don't upgrade rooms to their highest levels too quickly as the fires and radroaches seem to scale with the room level) ... for rad roaches try and arm all your folks as quickly as possible (and see previous note about premature room leveling) ... raiders can be dealt with one of two ways (get really strong dwellers who can be moved to the front entrance to fight the raiders or put a triple room with 6 dwellers right after the entrance and let the raiders pass through the entrance to that room ... 6 armed people can take down raiders effectively and quickly ... you might need to move the elevator to after that triple room though)

Also, beware making too many women pregnant or having too many kids (pregnant women cannot fight off incidents and run from the room when there is fire, raiders, or radroaches) ... kids cannot perform tasks until they are grown so they also run from encounters ... with proper pacing you can minimize the need for lunchboxes or catastrophic vault events

I get fires and roaches breaking in, but how do raiders get in? Can't you just seal the door and keep them out? I mean, it's a door designed to withstand nuclear blasts. I don't think raiders with 9 mils and spears are gonna get through. I won't get to play until the 13th so I don't understand how that makes sense.

I hadn't been monitoring the Android launch that closely to see that they were adding Deathclaws ... that said, I would assume that they will only pop in at a certain level and/or population so my strategy for raiders stands and applies equally to Deathclaws (presumably) ... my recommendations on a slow and steady expansion coupled with a constant rotation of wasteland explorers also stands (since except for buying Lunchboxes there is no other fast way to accumulate weapons for your dwellers) ... unless they change something with the Android Launch you generally get 1 item/hour while exploring (outfit or weapon) ... there are a number of fixed events (unless they add more) with notable ones at 20 (gas station), 30 (diner), and 60 hours (national guard depot) ... it is certainly worth getting a dweller to the 20 and 30 hour events once they are strong enough since those events tend to yield 2 items each (usually rare) ... the depot can yield a legendary item but it is random and low percentage (with 50 explorers I will get an item there about 1-3 times) ... good luck with the launch on Thursday :D

sense or not they will break in ... the game has three upgrades for the door (unless they add more in the next patch) which delay but do not prevent their entry ... raiders were only a threat at the early parts of the game when your dwellers are mostly low level (few hit points and easily killed) and poorly armed (unless you get lucky draws from the lunchboxes or lucky finds in the Wasteland there are a lot of very weak weapons that are barely better than hand to hand) ... since raiders are little threat during the end game I can see why they added Deathclaws ... one other note on the raiders is that they siphon off resources while they are attacking ... again, a small threat for the endgame where you have very large reserves but very threatening at the start where it is easy to fall into negative territory and harder to rebuild the lost reserves
