Monetization model of FOS

Current monetization method of FoS is selling Lunchbox. It is kind of "lucky bag" which is just gambling in disguise. Such exploitive money grabbing can not be sustained for long.

I think that such gambling should be abolished in next incarnation of FOS (Fallout shelter 2?), which may be played by young teens.

Instead, I suggest to introduce paid premium game currency to FOS, which is called as "gemstone" or "game cash" in other FTP games. Let me call it "star cap".

The star cap will be purchased with real money but may be acquired rarely in game. We can spend star caps to buy various resources or Stimpak, legendary weapon, outfits and dwellers. Or may revive dead dwellers, shorten dweller training time etc. And most importantly, to decorate our vault.

Unlike lunchbox that is mostly spent in early stage of vault development, the star cap will be spent on later stage of fully populated vault as well as developing stage.

If well designed, most star caps will be purchased by dedicated FOS players with highly developed vault, for example, to decorate their vault beautifully. In many FtP games, 90% of game cash is purchased by less than 2% of active players called whale.

And be sure to attract female players in their 20-30. They are very royal customer of Free to play games and real big spender. They wont mind spending as much as few $100's a month on good game.

It will help Bethesda to keep revenues stream for much longer period, even after the vault is well developed.

Abolish gambling. Such way of money extraction can not last long. Switch to more sustainable and lucrative way of monetization. Both Beth and players can be winner.
