I had the perfect vault. Had toiled for days training my scouting dwellers as close to maxxed SPECIAL as boredom allowed.

And today, as I opened the app, without even giving me a choice or asking for permission, Fallout Shelter just started downloading an update. It was a big update, about 125 or so. Anyway, after hours of waiting, the thing changed to "starting" (installing the update, I think) and there it stuck. For hours, now. I have screenshots (they are from when I load the app with and without an internet connection), but I am new at this whole forum thing, so I do not know how to attach pictures here.

I forced stopped it, and nothing. I am about to uninstall and re-install, but I am afraid of losing a whole month of good, slow progress.

I am running Fallout Shelter on a Motorola Nexus 6, with Android version 6.0.1.

Help me, Obi Wan Bethesda, you are my only hope (also, this is your doing!)
