Message to the serious Fallout Shelter PlayersCollectors

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 11:24 am

From a seriously loyal fallout shelter fan to all who endeavor to do so:

So in the hype of today's patch I dropped $30 on Lunchboxes as I enjoy the game greatly and have enjoyed collecting items both in the wasteland and in both earned/paid lunchboxes (I have easily earned more lunchboxes than I have paid for). Today I must say I received a huge disappointment in how far Bethesda's cash grabbing has reached. True I have defend Bethesda and this game in the past (most recently today, lol) but when a collector drops $30 and receives zero - 0 - zip - zilch - nada - none - not one Legendary Dweller from this, that puts a rather sour smell to the fun I've had thus far. So, with that said I have decided to write this message to those who have had fun collecting and wish to collect all. At least know what you are getting yourself into. With the poor choice of allowing duplicate dwellers in this game (other than Gary from vault 108 did anyone else remember clones such as 3 Lucas Simms in FO3?), and the even poorer choice of making legendary dwellers far far far from obtainable (last Legendary Dweller was 3 weeks ago and this is 4 and a half weeks of hundreds of hours of gameplay), I thought since Bethesda has not stepped up and been honest on the odds I would shed some light on the subject.

Finally, unless Bethesda decides to "patch" a fix for this absurdity (or at least add a feature to call them from a STAT MAX'd radio room), I have personally decided to abandon the quest to collect all Legendary Dwellers and will stick with the weapons and outfits quest which can be obtained from the wasteland as well as earned lunchboxes. I am 14 away from outfits and 26 away from weapons.

Would love to hear constructive, positive feedback from any other serious players. Tips, strategy or even personal experience is very much a welcome. :icecream:

God bless all!

At least I am not the only person who noticed that lunch boxes are not dropping legionaries anymore ... I was thinking I had the worst luck in the world. I am sure they adjusted the ratio and made a math mistake in the equation....

lol, yah a mistake like "Oh 30+ million just isn't good enough return for our devs so let's just stop allowing people to collect Legendary Dwellers so they'll purchase some more lunchboxes thinking they will get a Legendary Dweller...hmmm that's a great idea that is." :yuck:

How long have you been playing? I received all 5 of my Legendary Dwellers in the first week and a half. Really interested if you are a long time player, have 200 dwellers and still getting Legendary dwellers?

At this point I would just go for an improved Legendary drop rate in the Wasteland ... I am still missing 40 weapons and 16 outfits ... even if I got duplicates I would appreciate more Legendary gear ... I already have 50 explorers and at least a dozen or more can make it more than 100 hours before returning ... but I still get mostly rares and TONS of regular stuff that must be sold off ... haven't seen a new Legendary in more than a week

Yes, long time player, but...

I deleted the game on my iPhone when the Android version shipped and started over yesterday using an emulator on my PC. So basically, I am a new player again. :P
