Assigning dwellers to right room

Post » Sat Feb 13, 2016 11:54 pm

OK, so I received a lunchbox challenge to assign 90 dwellers to the right room, I know how this is meant to work (assign dwellers to rooms they have their highest special stat in) but it doesn't seem to work with new dwellers that have grown up into advlts.

I don't want to skip this task, but i have 12 dwellers from pregnancies that have never been assigned to any room that when I assign to their highest special stat room, nothing happens. It was working before, but since the last update this no longer works. Anyone else having this issue? Any way around it?

It isn't just the highest stat but I think there is a also a minimum stat as well (maybe higher than 5?) ... if it is 90 dwellers that would seem extreme and almost impossible

So then, I need to train them until one stat is 5... but then seeing as they will then be already in the "right" room as they hit this level they then can't be reassigned?? This challenge is insane.

The only way round it is to assign dwellers returning back from the wilderness... 90... wow.

Far into the game, it seems a crapshoot whether a dweller is considered in the "right" room. I've dragged dwellers into the production room for their high stat (7+) and gotten nothing. I've dragged others into training rooms and had the objective bump the counter! Okay, sure, whatever.

In your situation, however, I would just delete the objective and hope for an easier one to come up.

I'll probably persevere with it... cycling through returning wasteland explorers has gotten me to 63/90... i'm loathed to delete any challenge that gets me a lunch box... I'd like to get all of the legendary dwellers eventually. 90 is an insane target though.

I actually just added an outfit to suit the room then moved the character in, it seemed to satisfy the game requirement and awarded me the point, my objective was 30.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that when this objective is started it notes everyone that is already in a room considered "right" for them, and permanently disqualifies them from counting towards this objective's completion.

"Right Room" simply means that they will move towards 75% happiness for working in the room. This can be even if they have 2 in a stat. I've gotten the completion with a new advlt for this. Note: Anyone will slowly move towards 50% happiness for working even in a wrong room.

Training rooms for a stat will also count as a "Right Room" for that stat.

Things I haven't tried is training a stat higher than the others and seeing if the change in "right room" will now allow someone to complete the objective when all else fails. No point really to test this for me as that could take hours and usually just birthing a new dweller is faster.

Yeah, except the problem I have is birthing new dwellers to pass this challenge is no longer working.

I wish they'd clarify the criteria to make this work.
