Guidance for upgrading rooms

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 9:01 am

I'm reaching a point in my new vault where many of my people are level 25-26 and everyone is armed at minimum with 3-5 damage pistol. Most have better weapons than that. I'm wondering when would be an appropriate time to upgrade my rooms. Do these numbers sound good:

T2 = All level 25 + and armed

T3 = all level 50 + and armed with 12 damage +

I don't want to end up in the same situation as last time where mole rats came through and wiped the floor with me repeatedly.

Upgrade as you need and can afford, if you died last time I suggest getting 2x2 med bays, so you have access to more sims. My vault is max size but still has plenty of level 1s a I can swim them up if needed. You need to rotate your people through training rooms. Luck increases chance for more dosh.

You never have enough stims if you're upgrading like you suggest. The rad roaches, mole rats, and fires deal more damage if the room is higher level. The only defense against it is being higher level.

Furthermore depending on stims during a fight is ludicrous as all of your guys will try to stand in one spot preventing you from even seeing the guy who need health now. You will learn soon if you are doing this.

I have over 140 stims ready to use if needed, mainly to send people out exploring quicker. It can get a bit frantic if you need to stim people up during fights but makes it more fun

It's not fun if you can't select the person who needs a stim because you have 6 people standing in one spot, let alone see that they need it because the health bars cover each other up. It's just a horrible interface idea.

You have to look at your list of dweller's to be able to apply stim packs accordingly during battles.

And when your list is 40 people long? It takes too long to find them.

Not saying it's perfect or the way it should be. It's just the only way you can do it if you are up for it.

the "interface" during battle is indeed really crappy and doesn't deserve that name. but not upgrading your rooms isn't a solution either. giving away stimpacks like it's free candy really is the only way.

Can't you use the gear and see the list of dwellers you have and choose them from there?

I think if they list dwellers they should also list item and equipment that they have not select individual to find out what weapon or outfit they equipped
