Suggestion: different rewards for raidermoleratetc attacks

Post » Sat Feb 13, 2016 11:01 pm

the Fallout series always were about looting. You kill something, you loot it, and you leave the corpse to rot. But apparantly this doesnt work in Fallout Shelter, and I wonder why? You have Raiders attacking your vault, breaking in, killing whatever they can, and once you beat them back you get.... some exp and caps. When Molerats attack (who tend to do a ton of damage against low E characters) you get... exp and caps. Etc.

Why the low rewards for beating something that could potentially destroy your vault? Molerats could be looted of (radioactive) food or maybe even a molerat hide outfit, and the raiders aren't naked are they? They have weapons and armor, ripe for the looting. Are the dwellers seriously stupid enough to get rid of the bodies and ANY loot they might contain? If anything I believe raiders at least should be dropping gear and whatever weapons they might have. This would make Raiders at least both an annoyance AND a blessing, since it might drop you some good loot or weapons you need right away to equip that new-advlt dweller who has nothing but his vault suit.

My "guard room" is filled with 4 fat mans, a rocket launcher, and a gatling laser. I think all my loot is turned to ashes instantly.

Raiders should definably have a chance dropping a piece of raider armor and another small chance of them dropping their weapon that they were using upon death.

Molerats and radroaches should give food.

Deathclaws should have a very small chance of dropping a Deathclaw glove weapon.

Exactly. It's not that they need to drop fantastic loot or anything, but from a Fallout perspective it makes no sense that Dwellers, who are struggling to make a living, would just toss out dead bodies out with any valuables left on them.

"but you get like, exp for em and sometimes caps!" I can hear people think. Well... how many stimpacks does it take to heal 2-6 dwellers after an incident? I'd say those stimpacks are much, MUCH more valuable than caps are, and they will get exp normally anyway. So yeah, have them drop something else. It adds a bit of flavour to the game, plus, c'mon... just caps is boring anyway.

I agree. Some caps or small loot would be nice.
