For those who managed to get Amata early-game

Congrats, like me, you will basically won the game with ease as I consider her one of the most powerful characters to unlock, honestly. Her SPECIAL stats are quite insane, and allows you to stay down at a somewhat low level (Low enough to avoid Deathclaw Raids) while able to get good quality loot when using her as an explorer. her starting stats are:

S:4

P: 6

E:5

C:8

I:4

A:7

L:6

Now, the reason for why she's so powerful for an early game starter is basically how Bethesda placed the SPECIAL training rooms out and their requirements, and if you notice: You only really need to hit up to the 35 Dweller mark to boost most of her stats to 10, and with the Merc suit (+1 AG, +1 PER, +1 LCK), to which you get something like this:

S:10

P:10

E:10

C:8

I:10

A:10

L:7

it's ridiculous, honestly. I obtained her from my second lunchbox, and at first, I never understood how powerful she was, but once I got her out exploring and training, I realized how easy she can make the game. Now you don't have to hit 50 population and risk Deathclaw attacks, meanwhile your explorer will find quite a lot of loot and be able to handle almost anything the wasteland throws at her. With her, I can relax and let the Vault Dwellers all level up to 50 without any rush, stocking up on Railway Rifles as she goes out and don't have a care in the world.

My first special dweller was Colonel Autumn, which I got really early in the game.

I got Star Cross Paladin, Three Dog, and Dr. Li pretty early on, PLUS Vengeance and a couple other high-damage weapons. It's been ridiculous!

Haven't seen any legendaries since the update, however, but a lot of 500 caps. :-/

Lucky bastards! I'm almost tempted to re-roll vaults for lunch boxes until I snag a famous Dweller! I have some decent ones, but nobody that I can name drop and be like *squeee*!

I got two James' and a Confessor Cromwell from purchasong 80 lunchboxes post update. I am up to 126 dwellers and have been playing long enough to have gained at least 20 lunchboxes from the objectives. So that puts the legendary dwellers drop rate at <3%. Not great odds. Wish I could trade one of my James for another dweller.

I re-rolled a new vault, and snagged a Dr. Li! She's a stimpack monster. Her alone in a 1 sized medbay can rush at 0% What a huge difference she is going to make!

I started a new vault and got Elder Lyons on my third lunchbox. He's out there roaming the wasteland collecting armor and weapons for the rest of my dwellers atm.

I started my vault and in my first two lunch boxes I got Moira brown and Mr Burke, and they both have as good, if not better stats than amata.

Since then I've just discovered buttercup and Jericho, who are both good too, just not quite as good as the first two.

I sent a bunch of low level dwellers to die but didn't kill them off since they still counted towards the vault population.I was hoping they would be counted when the game averaged out levels to determine how strong deathclaw attacks, I seemed to do decently when they raided. I planned to simply hit 100 and then drop the population down as well after unlocking all the buildings. Having 200 dwellers is also very taxing on the phone.

Not bad... until you get a lv 44 Preston on your third lunchbox.

Amata gas good starts overall, and is "easier" to max, but Preston is a wandering beast, and you can easily leave him for many hours just from scratch (In my case, I just sent him away the moment I got him and checked the next day... was still hoarding equipment)
