Assign 22 Dwellers To The Correct Room

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 1:13 am

I'm sorry Bethesda BUT WTF ARE YOU SMOKING.

If the system let you see their preferred room type AFTER you have upgraded all their skills then maybe this is doable... But when you have everyone in your vault upgraded past their original stats it ends up being a VERY frustrating job of "Drop him in here... nope... nothing... Drop him in here... NOPE... GRRRR... Drop him in here... ARRGGHH... NOW I HAVE DROPPED HIM SOMEWHERE AND I CAN'T FIND HIM..."

If you are going to make useless chores at least give us the information to let us complete it. As it is, with the poor interface controls, lack of character preference information and losing having to move characters from rooms where they are already working at max efficiency then all it is is a pain in the asteroids.

Now I hear you say "If they are trained up in your current room then that is their "correct" room. Well apparently not. Something isn't working right because if a character is trained up to 10 P and their initial high skill was charisma then the "correct" room is the bar or the radio room. But as you have trained them up in water processing it should be their "correct" room... Now if you could see a character's original stats then this objective of assigning to the correct room is doable (but still a pain).

Currently you cannot tell what room they should be in... and that svcks!

Someone posted in another thread that the "right room" is anything that gets their happiness going to 75% or 100%. So, you might have to make them unhappy first. I'm not sure about that, things seem a little more random to me. For a while I even thought that you can only do this objective once per dweller, ever.

correct rooms are highlighted green, when you hover (while dragging a dweller) over them. "incorrect" ones are yellow when doing the same. if multiple SPECIAL stats have the highest value, every room that is asociated with any of those stats will qualify as "correct".

Arrrgh... That's why I am screwed then. I have red/green colour blindness.

I will try and see if I can spot the yellow because that is the only colour that I can see properly. Thanks for the info...

EDIT: Well it's apparenty true... the highlight corners that appear around a room turn green...apparently. My friend tells me that it turned green but to me, it stayed yellow like always.

So this is another design fault... one which I will now post in the bug section (even though it's not exactly a bug). If there was way to upvote you, Negativity, then I would... but maybe in your case due to your name.... heavily downvote it heh.

The problem with this, though, is that if your dwellers are already in the right rooms, and have max happiness, it's pretty much impossible to do. I don't think we should have to intricately make them unhappy and then have them re-enter the right rooms for this to work. Essentially, you'd have to get 22 new dwellers and assign them to the right room, which would take a very long time.

Unless you're training your dwellers in other rooms that are not their own, this does not work. This part of the job has always been a pain. Before the last patch I remember having to put 86 dwellers in the right room. I've heard this has been fixed from the last patch but since the last patch also ushered in the loading bug that killed my original MAX STAT dweller vault, well, worth it?

Unfortunately this has been a very big problem that's been plaguing games as long as I can remember, and I've been playing video games since the concept was invented. With such a huge population in the world of people effected by color blindness it's almost a no brainier not to make games rely on color combinations to indicate important game features. I've yet to see a major game that has ever specifically taken this into account. It's so stupid. I have friends that deal with this crap all the time. Just svcks.

I don't know what you mean exactly by major, but Warframe (at least yesterday it was in Steam's Top 10 Currently Most Played) has.
