Radio station needs improvement please!

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 11:04 am

I have a problem with my radio station,

  1. my dwellers don't get exp... seriously?

  2. the dwellers they spend hours to find are all crap... seriously?

  3. from what I understand it increases your chance to be raided... SERIOUSLY?

What incentive do I have to keep it besides the happiness increase?

Please fix this, give us rare+ followers and give my dwellers exp... attracting more threats by broadcasting makes sense if I at least have rewards...

Pretty sure the radio is broken for some people, after a good 12 hours not a single person came up to my vault and I had a good amount of charisma in there, it was 2 wide also

Aug 22 - I agree with the OP about wanting to Radio Station dwellers to gain experience, preferably by "producing" something like other key areas. I can see why a Vault would want to produce Newscasts, Announcements/Alarms, Recruiting Invitations, and Entertainment. In fact I think all the SPECIAL rooms should have some sort of task/production/experience.

As it is, I'm trying to rotate dwellers in shifts between training, non-productive tasks, and productive tasks, but this sort of goes against the grain of the SPECIAL concept, not to mention being a pain to keep track of without a notes function.

Hmm, a notes fuction for each person, or an Overseer's Log would be very helpful!

Update Aug 27 - OK, the radio station DOES have a production icon that appears, and when you click on it a new dweller appears who responded to the broadcast. I guess my earlier refugees must have been random, or I just wwasn't paying enough attention. I also re-staffed the radio station with people who had high Luck, not just Charisma.

I had a fully maxed Radio room with 6 Dwellers with gear to boost CH... but as of the patch, I deleted it and moved my Dwellers into training rooms to get all their stats up.

I only got two new recruits with a second level 2 person radio room. I decided to dump it and expand my store room instead. Reason: a lot of loot coming in.

And I do agree, there needs to be some incentive.
