THERE IS NO FAIL STATE! YOU CANNOT LOOSE THIS GAME!

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 10:33 am

I've been trying for HOURS. You can't loose. I've never felt so insulted and lied to by a game. I knew it was trying to svcker money out of me, but I refused to give it any. I wanted to see how far I could push it on my own, but it turns out I can't even do that.

The game won't let you fail. Dwellers can't starve to death, or be drink enough irradiated water to die. You can't kill everyone off with fire or roaches because either the dwellers take care of it or roaches leave and the fire puts itself out! The whole thing is designed to make it look like you come close to loosing, but you never do.

It tricks you, it tricked us all. Making us think we're playing a game, when all it's interested in is the illusion presenting the illusion of a game. This is what's wrong with "Pay To Win" games. It just wants your money. Even knowing that, and being so blunt about it, it still lies to us and presents a false sense of danger to give you a false sense of accomplishment. After all, angry gamers don't buy Lunchboxes.

Honestly, I am so infuriated with this company. How dare they lie to us like this. I am so done. I'm not even going to buy Fallout 4. They've made enough money through underhanded trickery.

Trolling or? 3/10

In case you are serious, I lost 26 dwellers in one vault to starvation during an unfortunate turn of events. This isn't PTW at all.

Pay to Win? Not really, you don't have to pay to win. You can pay to get to a maximum sized vault sooner but you can get there without even using the free lunchboxes in game.

As for not being able to lose the game, well, clearly you didn't try hard enough. It can easily be done, has been done and has been done without people trying. The way you lose this game is to expand too rapidly, then have a few incidents that turns your entire vault into a morgue. You mentioned rad roaches and fires only spreading so far. Add to that molerats, which functionally are super powered rad roaches. Having said that, both the raiders and the deathclaws will visit every room in your vault and kill every dweller they find if they aren't stopped.

...and at what point in this vault did you see a Game Over screen? At one point in ANY vault you made did you see Game Over? I have been trying to kill my people. I've been trying to loose. At one point built a Vault and just kept sending people off to die. What happened? More dwellers came. There is no ultimate fail state, no bridge you can burn. You can't loose.

What exactly is your point? So you can have all your dwellers die to the point where there is no one left. It will be an empty vault. So what if other dwellers end up coming to occupy it? All the events take place in real time. It's more realistic than getting a "Game Over" screen and being forced to start over. If that's something that truly bothers you to the point where you have to insult Bethesda, then you should seriously consider re-evaluating your life values and priorities. Most importantly, get over it and stop whining.

Thanks, I needed a good laugh after the day I had.

Just a reminder, this is a PHONE game, because it seems like you lost that perspective.

And, it looks like you could spend a little more time playing outside, it would do a world of good.

Do people ever get the feeling that this is a bit of ego stroking being done here by the OP? It sort of came off as "i am so damn super dooper awesome that even when I try to lose i can't and Bethesda svcks for not making a game up to my l33t skillz."

No, didn't read that way at all actually...

Never did he state that the dwellers won't die because he's great at rescuing them...

He stated that he tried really hard to kill them and he failed because they saved themselves....

If anything the OP stated he is a failure...

I think you just have a problem with everone's posts and you like to troll and argue for the sake of doing so...

At least that is how you appear to me thus far...

OP it's a free game, you don't like, don't play you twonk and if you put money into it before having any idea how the game plays that is your bad.

You want dead, upgrade your room to level 3 early on and roach's + moles will be happy to snack on you :)

Other than that, afraid cannot help with life issues, those you have to sort for yourself....

ITT OP Does not know how F2P Mobile Games work.

In fairness though, Bethesda have screwed the pooch with this in many ways. The lack of cloud saving and their microtransactions for lunchboxes is costing people with corrupt game saves real world cash which they refuse to acknowledge or support us with.

"you cant lose this game"

followed by

"this is the problem of pay-to-win games".

Did your mother drop you on your head as a baby?

Anyway, its very possible to lose this game. All it takes is for your weakened dwellers (radition poisoning/starvation) to suffer one radroach/molerat attack that wipes them out. I've had it happen on a 2nd vault where I was focused on writing down info on the SPECIAL stats, and didnt notice a molerat infestation broke out and wiped out half the inhabitants (who were radiated due to me forgetting to collect water and food).
