I think he was being sarcastic....it appears the skill check for the guard post was failed and no loot rare OR legendary was found.....but earlier it looks like a rare 10mm hand gun wss found ROFL....

If it makes you feel better I read the odds of a legendary there is only 1 in 10....that being said, I would google the stat for the guard post timed event and level that stat to 10 before wasting another 2.5 days walking there and 1.25 days walking back...

Sarcasm indeed but I think LennyGhoul played along on that one ghehehe

A little true joy there, because indeed the pile of old metal and fabric will be huge. 90% what she picked up can be thown away sadly... I'm gonna save them up anyway because objectives :S sadly you can't just stuff them into a room, so your inventory doesn't clutter up with bad weapons/outfits

As far as the skill check, only things not 10 are Charisma (8) and luck (10+5, so 15?). I am very much in the dark as to how the system works.

Another dweller with a wrestling suit picked up 2 flamers within 10 hours, and he was just level 12 or so (blue card, sent him straight into the wastes with a shotgun and some stimpacks)

Kinda made me wonder if this is... normal?

According to the timed event spreadsheet on the web the skill check is believed to be Perception....but I don't know that anyone knows for sure....

On a side note I copied a back up save over and over to open a lunchbox I got from my 7 day log in reward ...until I got a legendary Jericho.

Unfortunately he put me at 61 dwellers which I knew opened me up for my first Deathclaw attack....

Thanks to my kill gauntlet top floor which included my 7 best dwellers and a minigun, I won.

They didn't get past the second floor...even though I am a little undergeared....as the rest of my weapons were mostly rusty laser pistols and sawed offs.

I did need to use 12-15 stim packs though so I built and staffed a second med bay and logged off for a while...

I got two more lunch boxes that I am going to back up and load over and over till I get two more legendary things

Wouldn't it be easier if you opened up all boxes tot see a common high roll? Just wondering, because luck seems to come and go with multiple in a row..

And my amata had 10 perception... Next time with a +P outfit then

I get nothing most of the time but I have gotten more Legendary items from there previously if you need high end gear then quantity of explorers is key ... I have 55 currently out and I will get a couple of keepable rares every trip out into the Wasteland ... I haven't been able to monitor my finds at the Depot recently but they tend to be nothing most of the time ... previously I have received Gatling LASERs and Missile launchers there and a minigun

Can anybody tell if the quality/damage potential of the weapons, maybe in combination with Special, effect the outcome of explorer engagements? You always see your explorers engaging an enemy, from dogs to deathclaws. Some they kill, some they run away. Would it make sense to put the best weapons available on a lvl 50 explorer with high E and L, instead of keeping those weapons for defense purposes? I assume, the better the kills for my explorers, the better the loot?

From what I gather, is that the fights they have (in the wasteland) are shorter, because they have a higher damage output than the enemy. So, basically it'll help in regard to your explorer using less stimpacks.

Also, with 10 (or more) Endurance, you won't get irradiated (at least it shouldn't), plus it seems to affect HP in a positive manner.

I haven't seen any correlation between the encounters and loot ... you will get 1 loot find per hour and the possibility of additional loot at special events (gas station, diner, National Guard Depot, etc) up to your maximum inventory size of 100 (after that you would continue to find stuff but it wouldn't go in your explorer's inventory unless it was better than the weapon or armor they had on ... and then it would replace that item, which they would presumably drop) ... you have probably 20-40 encounters an hour (the loot could correlate to one of them or just be "I found a box with Gatling LASER" or something

The quality of your weapons and armor seem to have more impact on your distance than your find rate ... since the finds are random, the longer you can stay out, the better your chance to find something good ... a good weapon armor/combo should let a level 50 dweller stay out for 70-100 hours before they must be recalled (due to lack of STIMs)

I have 55 explorers with 10 endurance and some still come back with radiation, maybe it is higher than 10 that prevents radiation damage or there is an interaction with armor type

Not sure... my Amata hit the NGD today (no loot sadly) and out of the 25 radaways, she had used none. 10 endurance, and a lucky dress. http://i.imgur.com/mBTKeOA.png to screen

EDIT I had a close look at my own (!) screenshot and indeed, she is a very tiny bit irradiated... odd

I think I have only seen my dwellers use a Radaway once (and it was way back at the start when they were low level) ... now they never use them so I only send them out with 2 Radaways (simplifies my inventory situation since I need to send them out with 25 STIMs)
