INVINCIBLE RADROACHES KILLS ALL DWELLERS

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 2:47 pm

The topic says it all

I Had about 22 people, and some nice legendary weapons like rocket launcher, dwellers were 15-17 levels.. accidently there was a rad roach infestation, room full of armed people, outfits, weapons.. And all this end up me watching a roach killed all my vault. he killed all in my room, then I send others one by one to help defend, BUT... they are also dead, my caps are gone, dwellers are dead. I had to start another vault, and to hope for a better tommorow without this horrible bug..

Do bethesda plan to fix this soon?

Did those roaches appear in an upgraded room? Accidents strenght scale with room upgrades. The more upgrades, the worse the accident. A room with 2 upgrades (maxed out) can cause accidents too strong for low lvl dwellers and small vaults.

Just don′t upgrade to third level in early stages. If you have to, make sure you have lvl 1 rooms neaby, so you can evacuate the infested/burning room and fight the accidents in the lvl 1 rooms, since the fire/infestation in those rooms will scale with their levels aswell.

Never send dwellers into a room that has proven a deathtrap.

Again, in a fully leveled room a roach can be as strong as a deathclaw, level 20 or below and endurance of less than 5 + stats gear is not enough to survive unless you stimpack everyone. A roach infestation can easily wipe out a vault of 30+ if they are all low level. Do not upgrade rooms unless you have them full, with base stats of 5+ at level 30+ with weapons of at least 10+

The upgrades are fairly minimal gains early on and you have a much easier time rushing with base level rooms which only spawn small fires and weak roach's/moles.

Does dwellers levels also scale with threat level?

Your level dictates health and maybe a number of factors outside the Vault or when making babies but the level/power of a threat (roach, fire, Mole) is primarily dictated by the level of the room upgrade. At the start of the game you are much better off with a number of single rooms with 2 dwellers working each and maybe a 2nd double room for power but as with upgrading rooms as you merge them you also raise the level of the threat beasties you face, so a 3 wide room at max level produces huge fires and Roachs that will rip through a level 15 dweller with a 8 or so weapon and a stat boost armour like paper.

You have to grow over time, don't be afraid to completely re-design over time.

I have had this problem as well. Thank you for the info. I don't like the idea that the weakest creature in the series can get as strong as the strongest creature. Hopefully in the future this can be fixed. This spells disaster for new dwellers. :(

2 days I havent upgraded a single room and I see my dwellers are taking more and more damage DPS from roaches. how is that possible? They ran from 100% to 85% of health bar, later to about 75% and now about 50% of health are reduced by a single infestation. Only rushing 1 time. dwellers level up also each day.. and my population is increasing by 1-2 dweller a day, could this be the problem? dwellers number difficulty?
