Fallout Shelter gets Xcom Fever, Stats predictor inaccurate

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 4:53 pm

OK a little presumptive Title however, I have just completed the recording of 400 rush's at 30% failure rate, results are 232 failed rushes which is a failure rate of 58%

I also recorded 100 rushes (I admit small sample) at 40% failure rate which resulted in 67 failed rushes.

Now the problem is sample size, I admit maybe over 1000 or 5000 rushes the sample odd may even out but of course given the number of rushes you are likely to do in a game that is not great.

So has anyone else got any results that point to mine being an anomaly??

Just interested :smile:

Oh the Xcom EU reference for those who do not play it, the game has a notoriously bad stats generator which the devs refuse to fix or even acknowledge despite huge data evidence that it is broken (regular results of 6 or more x 99% in a row rolls hitting 1%).

Could be wrong here but could be interesting to test out :smile:

I have a room at 0% Failure. When "succeeded", it goes up to 2% for the next attempt.

Around 50% of attempts to rush the 2% room lead to a failure.

The stats and fail rates are fudged and are certainly not dice rolls.

Did you continuously rush the same room or wait until the fail % went back down to 30% and 40% fail rate? Rushing a room multiple times increases the fail %.

Just in case you didn't realise. If you did, then nvm xD;

Clearly rigged.

Along with tthe deathclaw punishment, the awfully bad combat system and many other things, I'm almost sure we're in a Bethesda's Vault Tec experiment to see how much we can stand before exploding. :)

LOL no, I have about 30 rooms I rush 1 after the other, then I waited until they reset and continued.

I have just completed 30 rush's with a 10% failure rate and failed 19.

Seems really odd, I mean how hard can it be to run a stats gen?!

Its intentional. Much like a Fruit machine will often fail you for selecting "Higher than" when faced with a 2, rolling you a 1. It's just how this [censored] works.
