Stop healing with Stimpaks!

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 4:36 pm

That's right my new strategy is to just let dwellers die and resurrect them. I have caps at 999,999 so my Stimpaks are actually more valuable than caps.

Anyone else using this strat?

Maybe if I get that amount of cash. I haven't had over 10000 caps at once yet as I always got stuff to spend it on still.

I feel like if you have 999,999 caps, you essentially "beat" the game. Maybe start a new vault or something?

While this strat is feasable, I would hightly advise against it for a couple of reasons.

Death effects dweller happiness

Accidentally missing a corpse during a fight or fire

There have been a variety of glitches with dead bodies including corpses dissapearing or dwellers responding as if there was a corpse in a room even after the dweller is revived

If you have max caps, why not just make more hospitals? at a maxed cap smooth running vault you should be able to produce enough stims to deal with anything save for having a bunch of your explorers come back at once and sending them out with 25 each which can be solved by a few rushes. If their endurance is maxed through training you could even replace some science labs for hospitals as the radiation that maxed dwellers get is hardly anything.

500 storage and 100 stims.

I was able to get 1,000,0099 caps but now it's stuck at 999,999

I have 2 MedBays fully maxed out with 6 Dwellers each all with Maxed Special (and they are all level 50 although that really doesn't matter much in this situation.) They are each wearing at a minimum of +4 INT gear as well. It takes about 3.5 minutes to make 12 Stims and I can store 65. I too am "capped" out on caps. But I would still rather use the stimpacks. A dead body isn't doing any damage to the DC and there is a chance they can move on to another room. Since DC are doing what looks like an AOE type of damage everyones health is dropping really fast. So you could have 4 or 5 dead bodies in less than a second. Can't revive them all quick enough to stop the DC attack.

So I can recover 4k to 5k caps in about 10 - 12 minutes... less if I rush some rooms. I will use in the neighborhood of 20 or so stimpacks on all the people damaged in an attack. I can replace all of those in 3.5 minutes. Less time if I rush the lab... since they all have 10 luck... my chance of failure sits at 0% since I rarely rush any more. So for times sake, it would be quicker to use stims and replenish them off of the MedBays.

I'm working on getting 3 000 caps to upgrade my Stimpack production, also the dwellers gets unhappy far to quick already.

I use one floor with max, 3-space medical and science rooms manned by high-int dwellers and have tons of others built with minimal workers actually in them (simply to increase the cap). I placed Mr. Handy on the floor with the full rooms to continually collect the Stimpaks and RadAways, so every time I log in, I have 125 Stimpaks and 85 or so RadAways. This basically removes them as a factor completely, as I've always got enough to send multiple dwellers with max of each as well as leftovers to heal.

Having 999,999 caps is not a big deal, I have had that for a couple weeks now. But I also have plenty of stimpaks as well so no need for that either.

Start a new vault just because your caps limit is maxed? It shouldn't even be capped and we should be able to spend them on something (legendaries). Caps don't mean anything to me, I am collecting all the legendary characters and weapons and want all my toons maxed.
