No incentive to buy Mr Handy's while there is a cap limit?

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 4:45 am

With my caps limited to 999,999 what incentive is there to purchase any Mr Handy's? They need to raise the cap limit, even though there's nothing to spend them on lol

It's still nice to see how many you can save up.

There is not very much incentive in a capped vault to get Mr handy's, they best serve a starting vault with caps, there are a few benifits to having them arround.

They can watch floors you dont have dwellers on and engage incidents before they spread, or help with invasions.

Their constant resource collection can help level dwellers faster.

They're neat and they float and.... robots, man! they're basically like a nice rug in your vault, pretty to look at and ocasionally fight for you.

If you arent wanting them just to have them in a maxed vault I dont reccomend spending the money.

Since you can get them in lunchboxes now there's no point in buying them at all is there?

I don't use them to collect caps, as dwellers collect them faster from the wasteland anyway, AND they get loot. However, I use one Handy on a floor where I have max medical and science rooms so I have full Stimpaks and RadAways every time I log in.

I bought one just to support authors and assigned him on the floor with medbay so he can collect stims even when i am in the middle of battle with Deathclaws, which was useful when they started to appear (61 dwellers in my vault).

BTW: He has some really hillarious comments when wandering wasteland, but he is much more usefull inside your vault.

I agree they need to raise the cap max while on the other hand I don't know because my caps have been locked at 1,000,699 for some reason. (unless I spend it) I've seen it as 1,000,099 too but never anything else and 99.999% of the time it's only at 999,999. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or if some people can't go higher than 1m I don't know.

999,999 is the cap, but the game allows you to go over the cap with lunchboxes (in case you spend real money on them - I'd be pissed if they just disappeared). You can even exceed your storage on items from lunchboxes.

You could potentially see any number ending in 99 depending on how many lunchboxes were opened.

Funny thing is I never paid for lunch boxes only a 5 pack of Handys to help keep things running and I've been up to 1,000,699 for some reason.

Whether or not they're paid for doesn't factor in, but you definitely got a 500 cap card and two 100 cap cards from lunchboxes to get to that number.
