What is your highest time outside, in the wasteland?

Right now My highest is 3 days and going, but I will soon have to recall due to stims all used up.

75 hours so far. Going to try for longer when I'm ready to send the next one out.

Practical maximum is about four days, because toon's inventory is capped at 100 items, and rate isroughly one item per hour. Four days are fairly easily achieved: one just needs a level 1 dweller with full SPECIAL (via training), and letting her go to the wasteland with 25/25 stims and radaways. Well... full training could be reduced to just 10 endurance and 10 strength, as endurance eliminates radiation, and strength reduces combat damage. Level 1 toon is preferred, as she will get free healing on each level up. Stims will be used only at day 3+

Ha. Once I had a group of 24 explorers, all at 10 luck, 10 strength and 10 perception - only one got legendary at 4 days, most others got 5-7 rares, and two got just a 1-2 rares for the same time. Go figure the wonders of RNG. Looks like the best chance for a legendary is to send out whole vault for four days. Kinda weird feeling..

I have sent my Lvl 49 out for 4 days using the time warp. I was disappointed at the weapons that were found. However, he did return with enough Lab Coats to equip 6 Clinic workers and 2 Science Lab workers. :)

That usually happens when someone tampers with the time and date.

I just passed the 75 hour mark for the first time and encountered Mr. Handy. I'll probably get to around 80hours before I'll have to return

My all time max is 113 hours. I got Lucas Simms, maxed his stats, then sent him out with his 25 stims, Sheriff Duster and the best gun I had. I think he already starts at level 30-40 so he leveled up to 50 and got some free heals that way. He came back with a lot of rares.

I've experimented with a lot of different configurations and found that if you send out dwellers who will level up a few times, they make it significantly longer than someone with an identical load out and stats who's already level 50. Makes sense because of the free healing.

I haven't had much luck with finding really great stuff past the NGD. I'm thinking I'll start pulling people back as soon as they hit it to maximize the number of times I can get people to get there. The hours past it just seem wasted since I already have every vault dweller equipped with very good rares and legendaries.

My best time so far is 96 hours. My explorer has Sturdy BattleArmor and Enhanced Fatman from free lunchbox. He does not even have full SPECIAL yet.

I'm currently at about 65 hours and used 14/25 Stimpaks. I wonder if it's more efficient to return after the 60 hour event, or is there another loot pi?ata event later on?

According to some research the % chance for rare and legendary increases based on how many hours out for the hourly items.

Something like .1% for rares and .01% for legendary.

So 65 hours would be like 6.5 % more change for rares.

So I'd keep them out there as long as they can go unless you're hurting for caps and don't want to incur the cost of revival.

My explorer is out of Stimpaks and almost dead at 96 hours, but I've picked up 3 legendary items in 6 hours, so it's DEFINITELY worthwhile to stay out (considering I had zero legendary drops for 90 hours).

I stopped playing when the rad roaches were so evily murderous. My entire vault was dead except for my explorer and two pregnant women. I put the game down, vowing not to play it again until there was a fix. Lo and behold, the fix came and I picked the game back up just a few days ago. I almost deleted the mostly dead vault until I looked at my wasteland explorer....33 days out there and she is chock full of goodies! No legendary items, but tons of great weapons and outfits. Currently 15 days till her return. I'm also happy to report that the children of said pregnant women were enough to start again. I'm currently at 28 dwellers and building warehouses as quickly as I can for the incoming bounty of items.

On a sad note, the game craps all over my IPad. Most times it will run for about 2 minutes before crashing. Then crashing on restart....then another crash and two more minutes of play, then a crash and so on. While frustrating, I'm sure it's a temporary thing and Bethesda is on it. Till then, I shall simply tap faster when it works and hope to keep my vault alive!

Update: Load of goodies arrived and my vault is now approaching 100 dwellers. Since the first post I have done a bit more research in to the crashing on my iPad. The results are not good. Firstly, I can't load a vault anymore and now I know why. The 512mb ram limitation on my iPad is being exceeded by this app game. Plainly stated, I can't play it anymore because my vault requires more ram to load than my iPad has.

I imagine the only way to fix this is to a) add ram to an ipad2(not possible) or B) rewrite the code for the app in a manner that would draw less resources(not gonna happen). Either way, the 70+ dollars spent on lunch boxes and mr handys is a complete waste. I could start a new vault, but before reaching 100 dwellers I'd be right where I am now.

Initially, the game was advertised to run on a 512mb ram system and has been since relabeled to not. That's great. Any chance Bethesda would care to refund my money towards a newer device that could run their game? Not likely.
