Long time Fallout Fan and game designer for folks like Activision and EA. Love the game, but have noticed some areas that make playing difficult and some areas I'd love to have more information. Hope this finds you guys well!
- #1 Allow One To Turn OFF Camera AUTO Scroll...boy, turning off this feature would be a godsend! When I'm trying to manage a dire situation and the camera auto-zooms, scrolls, etc. it completely negates my "god" feeling of being in control. It also always causes a partial zoom, which kicks the device into 3D perspective rendering that kills the processor on a vault with 100+ members and lots going on. Just would love a feature added to the preferences that is a checkbox "AUTO ZOOM EVENTS." Off, the camera never moves without my explicit fingering.
- Need Combat HUD Dialog To Heal Dwellers. When a group is under attack, you can't always see or click them. One bizarre AI thing that's happening is that the dwellers and your robot all stack on each other making it impossible to click a dweller to heal them. Given that the robot can't be healed, I'd override selecting him at all. Just consider the robot and the invaders not there, and allow one to click the characters. A more elegant solution would be a dialog with the faces of those in battle, with simple controls to heal them. Either that or have the dwellers possess an option toggle to allow them to heal themselves when hurt. Given that a raid only affects top floors, one could turn this on for dwellers in those high risk areas.
- Combat might benefit from turn system. It's very easy to drag folks around under 25 dwellers, but above that, it's very tedious to respond to a deathmatch with a deathclaw or a set of raiders. Would be nice to have some sort of classic turn system, or if nothing else, a PAUSE button to arrange players before the battle begins. Real time just overwhelms mobile devices after 50+ dwellers. I'm on a third generation iPad and a Galaxy Note 4.
- Educational Progress Report. Just like the exploring dialog, but centered around education. Zooming in as an only way of getting updates is beautiful, but again, after the vault gets to a serious level, the animation slow down is really bad. Anything to avoid zooming in would make the game a great experience.
- 2D or 3D flat mode. Just flatten the camera and continue with all your cool animations like normal. Zooming only enlarges the flat rendering with no depth. You already do this for the max zoom out. I'm suggesting an option to lock that in for all levels of zoom for performance reasons.
- Ability to view all dwellers in a list with sortable headers. The reason for this is in assigning them outfits and weapons. Who has a crappy weapon? Sorting would be great. Right now you have to hunt around all the dwellers to find who has what. Fun the first couple times, then not that much after.
ABOVE LEVEL 100 ROOMS!
- Robot repair bay! (half prize repairs?)
- Fun room to make people happy! Movie Theater comes to mine. Good for animating.
- Gambling room! To make money off your dwellers.
Anyway, great game! Well made! Well designed! Loving it!
