Assigning people to their correct room after upgrading them?

So let's say I get a new person and he has

strength 2

perception 1

endurance 2

charisma 1

intelligence 1

agility 2

luck 2

First of all with these base stats, what room is he best in??? He has 4 stats with the same value of 2. Is it just trial and error?

Ok, so next I decide to ugrade his stats.

I upgrade him to

strength 5

perception 4

endurance 5

charisma 2

intelligence 2

agility 4

luck 3

Now what room is he best assigned to?

To go even further, I have trained a person to have 1 stat that is higher than the rest, like say strength is 7 but the rest are 5 or lower. I put him in a power plant but his happiness drops like a rock! wtf?

Is it completely trial and error to find the right room? Do they have 1 room that they will always prefer? does it go by their starting stats? this is very confusing.

If you drag the dweller around, little yellow or green brackets will appear around the different rooms. Drop the dweller in the room with green brackets.

It's definitely there, but if they are already in the "right" room you're screwed.

So if you're playing how the game is meant to be played you're screwed.

Go Devs.

It helps to have Dwellers equipped with the 'wrong' outfit for the room they are in.

If your Reactor Room dwellers all have Lab Coats on, making their Intelligence 1 higher than their Strength, when that objective hits, all you have to do is drag, drag, drag, drag, drag, and boom. It's cleared. Then you move them back to the original room for the next time it comes up.

The key is, you have to have the outfits on before the Objective appears. It doesn't seem to work if you change outfits then move dwellers.
