upgrading rooms

Hi guys

I would like to know if its better to build three rooms next to each other and then upgrade them, or better build an upgrade one by one ? I mean, maybe builiding three rooms first and upgrade them later could help me save some caps? Also I've read about the drop rate reduction from Wasteland explorations. For now I can afford sending only two dwellers to the wasteland and im doing so for 2 days. I haven'tfound a rare armor yet though have foun gauss rifle.

It's cheaper to upgrade a joined room than upgrade them individually.

There's plenty of rare gear to be found in the wasteland. You just need to get farther out there and have some luck, like literally training the explorer's luck stat.

I try to avoid upgrading rooms, and spend the money instead on new training rooms. Train your dweller in the corresponding SPECIAL, and clothe them in a garment that adds to that SPECIAL.

Every time I upgrade a room, it becomes an order of magnitude harder to repel molerats, radroaches and fire from that room.

Well, actually I''m trying to harmonize my vault expansion which means that i prioritize the resources rooms, than focus on clothes. Fina? step that i"m up to is to build first training rooms:) i have two questions:

1) when i send my dwaller to explore wasteland, does he burn my vault resources or not (during his stay at wasteland)

2) when can i expect first deathclaw attack? I assume that the game has been set somehow to protect new vaults and deathclaws apperas after some period of time? Thanks for help
