Explorer limit ruins the game

Re: Removing the explorer cap limit does NOTHING and all you end up is MORE CAPS.

My concern is more on the legendary items, the above is correct if no legendary can be found. Players have to pay for the collection.

It is not about patient, how long will it take to win 2500 boxes?

Buying it from shop? The cost to have all the legendary dwellers is much higher than the iPad or iPhone.

I think the limit of dwellers in wasteland has something to do with the crash. Developer cannot fix the bug, so reduce the number of explorers.

Before the October update, I have more than 100 explorers. I have to scroll the list to check them. Clicking the wasteland can check about 30 only.

Continue playing has no point for me unless Bethesda get the legendaries back to the wasteland, and remove the 500 caps from the rare cards.

Forgot to mention, explorers limit also affects the fulfilling of some objectives. Such as, sending X dwellers to the wasteland, collecting X weapons, etc. That will help to win the free lunchboxes, not just the caps.

Removing the explorer limit only means just "more caps" when you have outfitted everyone in the vault with a plasma rifle or higher. If you have a 150 plasma rifles, plus 50 legendary weapons that have an average damage of at least 17.5 or higher, then and only then does the need to have explorers in the wasteland in any amount equal just more (bottle) caps.

Do you actually have to have all legendary items?

I don't know I completed 5 lunchbox objectives today.

So 2500 boxes divided by 5 = 500 days... A year and a half?

You should play to finish objectives to get lunchboxes.

Sending X dwellers can be repeated using the same dweller.

Collecting x weapons is fine if you don't collect your dwellers (25 is enough for about 2500 weapons/outfits or so)

I could probably make strategies for completing (lunchbox) objectives.

I have 85 weapons out of 139 weapons (including 6 legendary weapons)

79 weapons are rare or common; I have collect pretty much all the common and rare weapons.

(I never sent more than 25 explorers to wasteland and I have been playing on the same vault for about 4 months)

Well you choose to play it differently than the rest of us. I like having 75-90 out at once, it increases my chance of getting more plasma rifles. I sell everything below an enhanced flamer currently, and still have plenty of extra weapons in case the dweller limit increases some day.

What is the purpose of the presence of the legendary dwellers and items?

Does any one go the the game center for the achievements? (iOS)

May be my game is finished before the August update, when I have 200 dwellers, and all the rooms. A dormant vault will keep all dwellers happy and safe.

Collecting all the items is one of the purposes of continuous playing. Of course, everyone has his/her own objective of playing. The problem is the rules were changed so that some players will not continue.

Well I like to send out my dwellers on laser-shooting unicorns but that's not possible. Sending 75-90 dweller out is now not possible either so the point is moot.

And in regards to getting more plasma rifles, I have a better method than sending out more dwellers for that... Raider loot corpse glitch.

It is very hard to get boxes in the end game. I have

Collect 1848 items (did it 4 days and got reset to zero due to a bug)

Raise the special of 50 dwellers (180 dwellers maxed, not going to kill 30 and bred 50)

Survives 9 Deathclaws (less than one Deathclaw per day, can't be invited), etc

All these has to to skipped, only sure chance is the weekly box.

So, the game becomes waiting rather than playing.

You've become too attached to your vault dwellers!!!

My vault has 100 permanent dwellers (dwellers i want to keep) and 50 temporary dwellers to help with objectives.

These temporary dwellers I use for leveling, gaining SPECIALS, and then get killed off so that next influx (from Radio calling and pregnancies) can be used for the next objectives.

Heh, seriously thought the mods had removed this thread since it was the first time I didn't see it on first page since 1.2 went live.

So... *bumb*

In retrospec I realize my folly. To remove a thread highlighting idiotic developement decisions would actually mean the devs cared about their product.
