Getting frozen after latest update solution !

Post » Mon Feb 15, 2016 6:56 am

Hello community,

I'd like to share the way i worked around the problem of getting stuck while collecting or trying to collect dwellers from wasteland after latest update.

I simply did the following:

Choose a room to rush, rush it, and while its on rushing click on a dweller to collect from the wastes.

The game will freeze again buy only untill the completion of the room which is rushing.

Then out of the blue, i was able to rush it again, and then BOOM collecting followers.

Hope it helps,

former fallout enthousiast.

THANK YOU! I hadn't played in about a week and had about 20 dwellers stuck outside and was considering deleting my save. You're my hero.

This totally worked for me!! After collecting my 1st wasteland dweller, the game slowed to a crawl but did not crash. After clicking around a lil, especially after hitting the button on the bot right corner, the game went back to normal. After that, I was able to collect like normal without having to rush.

The game did crash after a couple of collections, but eventually I was able to collect from everyone.

Thanks for the tip, BadBreath!

I'd also like to report this rushing works. Big thank you to the OP for posting this. I had 20 dwellers waiting at my door and no way to access them. Was at the point of giving up and deleting this game when I checked here.

Thanks again.

I solved the problem by quitting the game.

since the explorer limit, and this freeze bug. I quit playing. Even with 25 explorers, the game is broken.

Thanks for the tip. It works great. I was ready to give up on the game as well due to this latest bug.

It makes me wary of Fallout 4 when it comes out.

I find this works for dwellers waiting to come back into the vault. But I find I cant activate the cog to get to the dweller list while a rush is taking place

Follow what i already wrote.

Rush, during rushing click the followers that wait, and if the game is to get frozen, the completion of rush will unfreeze it for you.

I think there is a simpler solution to this "freeze" problem. The game "freezes" (loses touch ability) when you load it up and try to tap on a dweller waiting in front of your vault. When you tap on him, the game tries to acces the "wasteland dwellers list", but can't, and therefore "freezes". The solution is to open that "wasteland dwellers" list manually before you tap on the dweller waiting outside to collect the loot.

So, when the game loads, tap on the wasteland AROUND the dweller so that the list of dwellers which are in the wasteland comes up. You can then immediately close this list and tap on the dweller in front of the vault. The game should not "freeze" then.

This is a faster and more convenient than room rushing.

Some of us are having the issue where tapping ANYWHERE in the wasteland will crash the game. I couldn't even bring up the dweller list.

A +1 from me that Badbreath's workaround does work. Thank you Badbreath (the person, not the condition). I was thinking I was going to have to delete my vault and start over.

I just updated the new (3rd) patch and it seemed to fix my issue.
