End Game Concerns

Post » Mon Feb 15, 2016 9:01 am

Hello, fellow end gamers. I'm going to list my biggest concerns for end game content. Not so much a "wish list" but rather a list of concerns that need some sort of compromise to solve. Here goes:

1. Let us more freely destroy dwelling spaces when at the population cap. After one reaches the 200 population cap, there is no way to remodel the vaut's dwelling spaces without removing dwellers. I have dwelling spaces in not-so ideal locations that I'd like to move around without the need for killing and removing dwellers. (Dwelling spaces can only be removed if you go under the current dwelling space limit.)

2. Give us an option to send away unwanted dwellers waiting outside. I have a line forming and now I can't even open up new lunchboxes without killing and removing some of my dwellers. I have 17 unopened lunchboxes and counting. My new (lame) goal is to see my lunchbox count reach 99 without purchasing a single lunchbox.

3. Now that there is a 25 explorer limit (an alright compromise to the limit of 10, if not great) give our now defunct vault dwellers something to do inside the vault. There are so many ways this can be achieved. A couple simple things that would bring me joy: new rooms or additional uses for existing rooms. (Armory can have a timer that gives a chance at creating a weapon or outfit, similar to radio room for new dwellers.)

4. Better item management. I only have 2 good legendary weapons, but I like to move them around the vault a lot. Problem is, if I forget to unequip the weapon, there's no easy method of locating the person I've equipped with a legendary weapon. Would be nice to be able to sort dwellers by their weapon damage.

5. Dweller Sorting has some bugs. For example, time to complete assignment is not completely ordered by duration; there are small clumps in order of duration but they're grouped up and mixed all throughout the list, making it impossible to see all the lowest duration and all the highest duration.

6. My final concern is subjective, but I don't enjoy hardcoe (survival mode) so can you show some love to end game players who want to remain in their current epic vault without having to create a new one? I still want a challenge but I don't want a challenge that results in loss of progress.

I have other minor concerns, but these are the big ones. If anyone has additional concerns for the end game, please add them here.

Bonus: You know what would be cool? Alien abductions. I don't know what the consequences of this would be, but that would be hilarious if waiting dwellers could be abducted lol. Or a virtual reality room -- which would be an awesome way to keep redundant dwellers occupied. Maybe it increases their happiness.

I agree on most of the points. I had some similar ideas, which I described in a rather long post yesterday, if you're interested.

Some comments:

3.What would be nice is if you could scrap unwanted objects (instead of selling them, which is pointless if one has reached 999,999 caps) and craft objects from the scraps.

5.I thought it was pretty random too, but then I understood the logic: Dweller sorting for Status and Job are sorted by what SPECIAL letter they are, not how much time is left. That's not very useful, I think.

7. Weapons are ordered and favored by dwellers according to top end damage, not average. This affects sorting weapon according to their damage (when equipping dwellers with weapons) and also affects exploring dwellers, who would rather equip a Pressurized Flamer 15-19 (17 dmg) than a Plasma rifle 17-18 (17.5 dmg) weapon.

I'd be happy endgame-wise with one additional thing: the ability to "two men enter, one man leaves" my dwellers, Mad Max style. But then I'm kind of a sick bastard that way.

Still ruined as of version 1.2.1. 1.2.1 has a 25 dweller in the wasteland exploration limit. This is still utterly disappointing as there is nothing to do later in the game but explore. Please remove the limit as it makes no sense. What is there some Mao-Stalin forcing the overseer not to send more people out? This goes against the very concept of overseer. Please remove the horrible wasteland dweller limit.

End game fun items ruined so far: how long can I keep dweller out there alive? - auto return after 100 items kills this.

How efficient can I get my vault so I can send out a lot of dwellers. - 25 dweller limit ruins this.

Where's the love for people that have been playing for a long time?
