1.2 Update Bug (Dwellers Returning to vault crash game)

everything works fine untill you try to bring a returning dweller back into the vault


The game doesnt crash or make me FC it. It just removes all overlays so I cant collect rooms or level ups


Anyone else have this issue?

I have this same bug exactly - when trying to interact with dwellers in the wasteland the Control Overlays disappear entirely, and the game grinds to a near halt. It does not crash or close, but rather stays in this state indefinitely.



I realize this is posted in the incorrect area, but didn't know the greater sin - duplicating a post, or posting in adding to a post in the wrong area...

Yep, have this exact same bug. When Patch 1.2 hit, i had 14 Dwellers out exploring the Wastes, they were all dead (because my game wouldn't load for like 2 weeks, but it loads with 1.2 now). As soon as i loaded up the game, i revived and recalled all my Explorers. Today, 4 Explorers arrived back at my vault, and whenever i click on them to collect their loot and put them in the vault, the game get's stuck without the overlays.

Having this issues, usually I have 25 or so dwellers out at once. I have tried every way of interacting with them, and it crashes every time.

Save your vaults and wait for Bethesda to make some changes hope fully.


Also, bump-repply to the post, to keep it afloat, cause people keep asking, but no one is pinning that temporary Fix

I had this. As soon as the game loaded, I clicked on the cog to bring up the Dweller list, clicked Job to list the explorers first, then Collect, all within a few seconds. Collected them no problem.

I had the same issue and the workaround worked for me. The game does feel more choppy than before. Apple mini 2, iOS 9.0.1

I came up against this as well, I just pressed the back button the phone and the GUI came back up. Its as if the dialog window thinks it's visible, but its not, pressing back dismisses it and returns you back to your shelter.

Sounds similar to a problem that I am having. But mine doesnt occur when I try to collect (I can still do that with a waiting dweller) for me it just happens when I select an exploring dweller from the cog list
