explorer returning early because backpack is full

i have a dweller who was exploring the wasteland and they are automatically coming back early because they cant carry anything else. First a 10 person cap for exploring and now the dwellers have a carry limit? whats the deal with these changes? i got a bunch of people training in my main vault to be explorers and now its pointless because of the explorer cap. im primarily sending people out to gather caps not gear so the longer they are out, the better but now thats not the case. these changes should be undone.

I noticed that too. You can go longer if your luck isn't maxed out, but then you don't get as many caps. I sent a dweller out with 17 luck and he auto-returned after 4 days and 4 hours with 21,977 caps so it's still pretty good. You should be getting to the point where all of your workers in the vault have max luck so when you collect resources you also get caps. That's how I get the majority of the caps I have right now.



They also raised the explorer count to 25.

The dwellers have always had a limit (100 items) while exploring the wasteland. This is not new. Having them automatically return is new, before you had to count what was in their inventory yourself. When they reached 100 items the only thing they would gain would be bottlecaps.

What gcubed said. This new addition is both good and bad. If you're only looking for items and don't care about caps, it's great because you can send dwellers out and mostly ignore them and they will automatically return when their pack is full but if you still want the caps it svcks because you can't override that auto return. I have one coming back with a full pack that still has 6 stimpacks and could have stayed out another day or more gathering caps but I can't stop her from coming back.

I have a feeling they've fixed that 'bug' too - I get the feeling they really are capped at 10 points now, no matter what you've got them wearing :/

I don't think the cap is 10; I sent out a number of dwellers and only those with over 10 Endurance are immune to radiation damage.

I like the change, as I do not need to micromanage.


I send out a dweller and wait until he comes back on his own.


And the explorer limit is 25, which is OK as the game feels more smooth now.
