Fao GSTAFF. ..

GStaff, can you tell us if fallout shelter is still being developed, the lack of any updates or responses to the many bugs and game play issues isn't particularly reassuring.

I appreciate that you're probably busy with Fallout 4 and Doom, but some Fallout Shelter love would be appreciated, especially given how broken the survivor Mode is at the moment.

The silence speaks volumes. Shame, with a little work shelter could be a really good game too. I hope you enjoyed your dabble with mobile gaming Bethesda, 'cause from where I'm sat that's all is been to you, a quick money grab and now you're concentrating on other things.

Money grab? Its free to play, and you don't have to buy stuff in it either. You can, but that is what we call choice.

I'm aware of that, but sat here it just looks like they released the game to capitalise on the Fallout 4 announcement, kept it going until launch and then just cut it adrift.

It may be free to play (I never said otherwise), but survivor Mode is neigh on impossible without some serious luck with the free lunchboxes, they removed the ability to get legendary items by exploring and hence it's virtually impossible to 'complete' by collecting everything without at some point buying lunchboxes.

It's frustrating as they're so close to ironing out the wrinkles, but they appear to have cut it adrift and moved on.

They didn't release it to capitalize on Fallout 4 - they released it to advertise and build hype for Fallout 4, and to tease some of the new features of Fallout 4. I don't think they ever intended for Shelter to be used as an entry point into the mobile games market, and they never expected to make a huge amount of money off it. They were probably just happy to recover the costs that went into developing it. Now that Fallout 4 has been released, Shelter no longer has any purpose for them, so they'll just let it die.
