Is this app dead?

Are they no longer updating this game?

The last update has only been a month ago.... I wouldn't consider it dead THAT fast.

App is certainly circling the drain. Players are gone apart from late bloomers and a few hardcoe fans. Last two updates have had a MAJOR negative impact on the game, and devs have shown no interest to react to the fallout (see what I did there) in any meaningfull way. Don't even mention the increase in explorer cap, please. Bandages don't fix decapitation. So yeah, regardless of it's current developement status the fair assesment of this game's health is "dead".

The other day my game started crashing every time I try to load it. Sometimes it runs for about a few to 20 seconds then crashes. I saw posts where this was an issue back in October and was supposedly fixed with the last update, but apparently it only made my issue worse. I don't see any new updates to fix it. I am using it on my Android LG phone. Hopefully everyone isn't too busy with Fallout 4 to care about resolving this for the app users.

I highly doubt there are any overlapping personnel developing this game and FO4, both games are just under the Bethesda banner. Anyhow they didn't completely fix the load screen crash, they just implemented cloud save etc to make it less likely your device would corrupt the saves. You would have to enable the cloud save manually if you allready haven't to minimize the chance of this happening again.

It is fairly difficult to tell how common the bug still is, since the patch that brought the supposed fix also managed to make people quit playing. Thus further user information coming to these forums and other sources has all but seized.

Honestly, I've maybe played for a total of 10 minutes the past month, so for me, yeah, it's pretty much dead unless the team comes out with something new and involved. I'll repeat what I said a month or so ago: I doubt there will be any significant updates to this game since it has been hacked to pieces and will yield a minimal financial return for the time invested by the team. I know what I would do with it, but I am a user and not a developer.

Practically dead after patch 1.2, I guess. Most players quit to play. No more Lunchbox sales means no motive to update. Bethesda effectively killed a goose that laid golden egg by their hurried greed.

Agreed.

Making 5 million off the initial realease was like nicking the jugular vein with a scalpal, the game slowly bled to death as they tried to get as much money as they could. The player base saw it for what it was and walked away.

For me the game is a corpse. I just come back here to see if they fixed their screw up.

The game's only purpose was to tease some of the new features of, and build hype for, Fallout 4. Any money they made off it was just a little extra gravy - they probably were only looking to recover the development costs.

Now that Fallout 4 has been released, Shelter's usefulness has come to an end, and it'll just fade away.

I wouldn't say "Dead" but tower / base builders are very difficult to add to since you have all the essentials unlocked in the beginning... The only real addition that would bring back players is letting you personally follow the characters you send out to the wasteland, almost as if you were playing Fallout 1 or 2.

It is amazing when people don't like a change, they think everything is ruined...

Seriously, stop behaving like spoiled kids, I've seen the change and balance wise, they were needed.

Also, about the crashed, I've ben playing this game for almost two months, and it crashed once, just once.

And it was my old cell phone that had the problem, not the game, so maybe consider getting a better cell phone or tablet instead of blaming the game developers?

Because, if you have a bad cell phone and want to play a game that keeps a huge vault simulation in memory and it starts to acting up, that's on you, it's the same thing as blaming an automobile seller when the cheap 1968 volkswagen beetle that he sold you can't keep up with a lamborghini Diablo...

The undocumented, complete and utter removal of Legendaries from Wasteland Exploration was needed? Was the addition of the "Rare" 500 Caps from Lunchboxes (making getting Legendaries harder even that way) needed?

They might as well replace the 500 cap reward with a 500 cap charge. If they took 500 caps from me, it would be pretty much the same. I would like to know if there are devs still working on the game or not, though. Most of all, I'd like to know if there's any hope that they'll fix the disappearing health bars. That glitch bothers me more than anything else.

Given they've just released an update, it's not dead. They need to work on their communication though. You get more response talking to a feral ghoul than Bethesda on their own forum!

Yes, we continue to work on new updates to the game, and even if we're not responding to everything, we're actively relaying feedback from you guys.

We hope you enjoy the new update.

Really? That's great! I really hope our feedbacks and suggestions can give a hand for your improvements with future patches. I know making these "upgrades" will take a lot of time (and money of course). Can't wait to see more big changes in Fallout Shelter then! Good work beth

Thanks a bunch! I really thought you guys were just going to move on since Fallout 4 was released. Glad to see I was wrong. :)

The crashing issue for me is same as before.

Game introduced in June, the July update mentioned something about fixing vault shut down. The other updates are mainly for new content.

Except 2nd October update which fixes wasteland problem, but not resuming the legendaries.
