When to add dweller 60

Post » Mon Feb 15, 2016 8:33 am

Hi, I've been waiting to go past dweller 59 to build up a little before letting the death claws start to appear. Currently, my room closest to the entrance is an energy room with dwellers of high strength, all level 25-30, with weapon attacks in the teens. One of them has a weapon that hits in the 20s (fat man or something). Should this be ok to take on death claw attacks?

my first floor

Vault entrance : Two T-60 power armor, fat man, gauss rifle

Second room : Four T-60 power armor, plasma and laser rifle

Third room : Six T-60 power armor, plasma, laser and railsgun

The Dead Claw still can reach the third room.

You can always kick out a few dwellers (or not revive them) if you realize you hit 60 too soon. If you drop back down to 59, deathclaw attacks will stop, and you'll only have wasted some caps.

Just a note, you can have 60 dwellers without death claws. All three of my vaults are sitting at 60 and have never been attacked. It's the 61st dweller that seems to do it. If you want to unlock the nuclear reactor room, you can bump your population up to 60 and hold it there.

Hello,

I know Deathclaw attack can be stressful, for new Vault with 60+ dwellers.

And not everyone can get Power Armor with Fat-man or high powered weapons. ;)

BUT! there is a simple solution, build "Fitness room" where you will train your dwellers Endurance and not just 5 points but go to max 10 !!!

I would recommend to train the whole Vault, or the first dwellers that are in upper level rooms, which Deathclaws attacks first at least 24 dwellers.

First Level them to max 50 level (wasteland) and then Arm them with best weapons you have, you will see Deathclaw will leave them with low health but they will LIVE! :)

Is hard to know how many rooms will Deathclaw pass, will they reach bottom? Maybe, but at least your Vault will Live with high Level 50 and Endurance 10. :)

Best regard

Hmm...I've already been training endurance and most of them are already 10 in that. But I'm a long way from having anyone at 50 experience level
