50 and above - are we gonna need a bigger vault?

Hi! XG417 here. New guy, as well as Overseer of Vault 417.

So I've played with Fallout Shelter for about a week now, and I have grown my vault to a healthy population of 50 Dwellers, just the right amount of rooms so I can see the entirety of my vault when fully zoomed out, resources at full capacity at all times, security is quite alright, and happiness is around 94-97%. This situation already seem stable for me, and I never really was fond of managing large groups of people or things, so I was wondering if I should continue expanding and getting more dwellers.

I know I've yet to unlock the last four rooms to be able to acquire everything, but honestly, the current sources already provide more than enough. I send a maximum of 3 dwellers out on the surface to gather items, and to me that seems pretty manageable. So, should I still keep going? What benefits do I get apart from the rooms that produce more resources, and are they worth it? I just want to know what other Overseers think of this.

Cheers, mates!

Hello,

Yes or you can send more like 5 dwellers for start :) the wasteland provide items "defense" for your vault, collect every good (best) weapon / armor and gear up every dweller to teeth. ;)

None right now, check your Stats list to see how much you produce for just info, and yes they are worth it, better more then less. ;)

Consumption will grow with new up coming dwellers, better be prepared for it.

Best Regards

While you can maintain a small vault - you may find strictly maintaining gets to be kind of boring - but I guess when you get to that point you can start adding on - totally a preference thing.

Expansion seems to be considered progression, for some reason. I never got that. Upwards of 100 starts feeling too big to me, never mind 200. So, I don't expand. There's no reason to, once you get to the last training room at 50. Players just keep going, because I guess it's what we're supposed to do, but you don't have to, and it's not even rewarded in any way.
