Which companions will you lose forever in specific quests?

Hey guys!

I was reading a bit about some of the future quests and found out that there are specific companions that will no longer follow you after certain quests (the one I'm thinking of specifically dies). This made me wonder, what other situations will you run into where companions will not/can not follow you? The reason I'm asking is I'd really like to get all the companion perks, but also want to beat the main storyline. I wanted to be sure to get the ones now that I won't be able to snag later.

Thanks!

Just the one, directly because of quests. And another i heard can OD on jet after a another quest but isnt garenteed. Any companion can die do to glitches, regarding to sending them to other settlements.

Never had any of those happen to me, other than the one that is supposed to

Danse will stop traveling with you if the BOS is hostile toward you. Deacon stops traveling with you if the Railroad is hostile. Danse can potentially die in a quest depending on the decisions made. X6-88 will oddly keep traveling with you if the Institute is hostile toward you (and you'd sent him to a settlement previously), but this is likely a bug because his dialog still makes it sound like you're allied with the Institute.

Hancock can supposedly overdose and die, but I think this is most likely a bug and there just happens to be a convenient explanation for it within his character. None of the other companions can die unless it's directly related to a quest, so I don't see why they would have made things different for Hancock.
