and im completly confused theres no markers telling me where to go and people wont shut the hell up fast enough ... (they take for eevr to talk so after im done reading what they say im just waiting about for dialog to end ....)

any way for those of you that have played this and Oblivion what game is better ???

im playing as a female mage with shock and drain life as my spells :/ none of the rest of them suit my style i would of taken flame projectiles but i just didnt see it any where :/ (drain life = a must for me)

how many diffrent opening are there ????

was doing a mage on my 1st play through a waste? Because during the opening i saw a lot of sick looking combat but that may of all been cutscene style combat and not actual gameplay type combat (there is a difference)

if i get bored of Origins am i able to start a new game on Awakening or do i need to complete Origins to play Awakening ?

Best to ask these kind of things in the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1110983-dragon-age-origins-awakening-da2/ :)

To answer some of your questions:
DA and Oblivion are very very different games, it's hard to outright say which one is better, it's really a matter of preference
There are 6 origin stories altogether.
Mage is definitly not a mistake. If anything a mage is the most powerful class in Dragon Age. They're definitly fun to play, but melee also has it's own strengths and there are definitly some very beautiful combat animations.

You can start a new character in Awakening(or import one from a Dragon Age playthrough)
