This was just talked about today i thought it was strange seeing this. Didn't know there would be a 8th film i always thought number 7 was last. I kind of figured that they wasn't down with this little puzzle game of death.

Still waiting for Chopping Mall bluray or something lionsgate that I can't remember.

When the hell did 5, 6, and 7 happen?

Saw(!) the first one. It was ok, but I lost track of the franchise after that. I just assumed the sequels would all be mindless gore-porm. Had no idea there were so many of them, though. Wow.

I don't care, I'm waiting for Saw VS Jason VS Scream VS Ferdy 2.

Regardless, I'll probably see it. These films are incredibly stupid, but they're a guilty pleasure for me.

I know right.. I stopped watching them after SAW 3, I figured that was it for the story.

Another Scream fan? 4 didn't do so well, so I don't know if there is ever going to be a cross over or a 5th.

Funny you mention those three though because in the case of Jason and Freddy there hasn't been a new main series installment in a long time.

Plus Wes Craven just died last year.

He's currently got a book out and is doing tours talking about it and his time on The Princess Bride.

I'm not a fan. I appreciate some of the things the first film did, as did most those I listed, but it's all the sequels and cross overs in the genre that ruin it.

For Freddy, New Nightmare should have been it.

Scream should have stopped 3.

Jason X should have never happened lol.

Halloween though, that can keep going.
