First Era Game?

I was thinking and I thought what if the next Elder Scrolls game took us back in time to the First Era? Maybe the Merethic? Anyways we could be all the races from that time period Nords,Snow Elves,Dwemer, Chimer ext. If a Dwemer you could be a Tonal Architect, War Chief or Engineer and just simply have a quest line for each choice and live in the city's following the collapse of the race. If a Snow elf you would either follow the religious ceremony's or fight the Nords, Or even be a falmer slave in Black Reach. If a Nord you would either fight the snow Elves or conquer Dwemer city's. If a Chimer you would either fight the Dwemer or fight the Nords. If you went to the Merethic Era you could be a Nord or a Dragon Priest and fight the Nordic rebellion. Also, other races like Breton's , Redguards, Bosmer would just choose what side to fight on or help. My point is you could live in Tamriels history and maybe even shape it. I think it would be a very cool game and it would provide answers for some of our questions. I've always been fascinated in the history in Tamriel but frustrated about not getting to experience it and I think this game would be a cool way to do just that. Im wondering if I am the only one who wants a game like this or of its nature.

Had been interesting but I think its an low probability. First Skyrim left the book half open, everybody wonder that happens with the empire. Secondly Bethesda prefer to move forward in timeline.

ESO is an exception.

Not TES-6 but a spin-off game like redguard, battlespire or eso would be nice.

Yes I could see this as well. Not TES VI or anything in the main series, because the story should keep moving forward, but a side game taking place in the 1st era would be cool, especially if the dwemer are in it.

I think the series should have began this way. However, I think the game should began at founding of the Adamantine tower then progressed forward. The Player could have been a transmigrating Daedric spirit fated to be reborn in successive pivotal centuries or ages. In this series of games, the Player would see the progress and ruin of civilization advancing across the world map. He/she would witness in each game a transition of hamlets, to towns, to, cities to, fresh ruins, old ruins, finally fragments of the distant past. Interspersed with the past would be later settlements in their respective state of change. Thus the Player would be able to experience the nostalgia of revisiting an Ayleid city, forts, towns, places of importance in their respect states in each game.

Perhaps, the players could petition Beth to create new game series based on this concept.

I wouldn't mind more spinoff from earlier eras, but I prefer the main line to continue forward.

I'm interested in the idea, but I'd prefer going back in time only after every province has been explored.

My wishes of future TES: Explore every province the way it's been going->Revisit old provinces->Eventually when- and ONLY when all that is said and done and technology is ridiculously advanced, make a TES game with every province... And hopefully by the time the last thing game long, we've had something like... Exploring TES with Magic Leap in a dark room for incredible immersion.

Wouldn't want to see a full game based on it, since there's still the entire subplot with the Dominion in the 4th era to tackle, but a War/Strategy game like Jagged Alliance/XCOM based on the Alessian Rebellion? I'd eat that right up.

Given the many loose ends left after Skyrim, it'd be a bad idea to suddenly go back in time with TES:VI. Better as a spin-off game... (Personally I think ESO would've fared a lot better if it had had such a setting - could offer e.g. Ayleids and Dwemer without compromising lore too much)

the Alessian rebellion wouldn't be bad, but I would much prefer an RTS based off of Reman Cyrodiils campaigns
