Assistance in finding a new Skyrim

Hey,

I am holding out for Bethesda to create another RPG like Skyrim though I find it very unlikely that they will. My father (yes my dad) and I are huge fans of Skyrim, my dad even more so. Since we played it on the Xbox 360 we have completed the game as much as it possibly can be finished (We bought all the DLCs and I already tried suggesting to him to playing it via PC so he can experience mods but my dad prefers Xbox and Xbox only).

I am trying to find my dad a game similar to Skyrim but it is impossible. I have bought him Dragon Age: Inquisition, Fallout: New Vegas, Kingdom of Amalur Reckoning, Fallout 3, Fallout 4 (we are playing this currently though my dad is almost finished), Mass Effect Series, and I even bought him Divinity Original Sin (Enhanced Edition), but I regret that because my dad hated the gameplay and pretty much everything about it.

So if anyone has any suggestions, please, I would be very grateful!!!!

Thanks,

Erin50

P.S. He likes the medieval aspect of Skyrim a lot (his words were "the swords, dragons, bows etc..."), also he really likes amazing graphics and the customizable characters.

My advice would be to play Oblivion or Morrowind.

Witcher 3. It's gorgeous. It's medieval-fantasy setting, but gritty. Great quests, great world building, great soundtrack, etc.. You don't need to have played the prior two games in the series, but Geralt is one cool character to play and the sword combat is lots of fun. IMO.

Fallout 4 is post-apoc, but similar gameplay to Skyrim... explore where you will, kill lots of baddies, have fun, maybe do some of the main quest. But, as you said, your Dad is already playing it.

I preferred Dragon Age Origins over Inquisition, though I liked Inquisition a lot. I just thought the characters in DAO were better and I just love the game

Rather than Divinity Original Sin, I would suggest he try Divinity 2 - straight up RPG - get the Dragon Knight Saga version. Not sure tho if that came out on xbox. I play on PC.

If graphics are important, then you would probably skip Oblivion, but it is a lovely game - just the NPCs are so... different than what they can look like 10 years later. Morrowind may be too clunky for you and your dad, it is an amazing game though.

I also recommend ESO... but I am biased. :D
