Sounds like a weird title, but bare with me on this one.

A little clarification is needed I think.

Just the other day I was getting ready to wash up the dishes after our meal when all of a sudden I was filled with the memories of Fallout 3. I was confused at first, but then it clicked. The dish washing soap! Sounds weird I know, but like I said.


So 2008 when I lived at home our kitchen was open on 2 sides. The dining room on one side and, what we called, the games room on the other (You would go down 2 steps. Was pretty cool). Our computer was there. I guess we had this particular dish washing soap at the time and due to the close proximity I could smell it because the rooms were open.


This sort of citrus-clean kind of smell is what my brain has associated with Fallout 3. Maybe that's the smell of Vault Tech.


Similar thing happened to me a few months ago too only with Elder Scrolls Oblivion.

Was at work. Went into the staff bathroom and there was a pomegranate scent diffuser. WHAM! Was back in Cyrodil. Crazy. I guess we had the same scented diffuser back in 2006! I feel old now.


Anyway, what about you? Do you have any smells associated with games? Has this ever happened to you or am I just crazy.
