Fast Ways to Level?

Post » Thu Feb 18, 2016 6:31 pm

I want to know the most effective legitimate ways to level up. So far I know of only a few places to go to for XP from kills and they're Quincy, Scrap Palace, sometimes the Glowing Sea and Andrew Station, and Gunners Plaza which is my favorite spot. But other than here I've found there are no viable ways to get decent XP. Quests give 300-400, I'm level 96. This amount is probably less than 10% of a level to me. So I'm wondering if anyone else knows of legit ways to farm XP for high levels.

You pretty much have all the best methods written down.

Have you tried repeatedly creating and then scrapping statues in a settlement? My friend couldn't control himself and went from level 44 to 85 doing this.

Well I guess I might as well put down a few others I've found that are good for legitimate leveling. Hub City Auto Wreckers, Crater House, Big John's Salvage, Quincy Quarries and Hyde Park are a few others that are decent to level from. But the problem is the respawn times are horrible, so it takes forever to go back and kill them all again.

And no, I don't exploit like that. To me, that's an exploit and I just want to legitimately boost my level but it's starting to seem like I have no choice.

Well I have a character that's high level but i don't bother allocating the perks anymore.

To get to a high level involved lots of killing and settlement building.

The killing could involve a round trip on certain areas of the map.

A hunting and gathering trip culminating in some crafting that also adds XP.

Perhaps by playing at the hardest difficulty an increased number of harder enemies make up the mix of foes which results in higher overall XP earned by the end of the trip.

One trip was to walk west, kill the raiders at the motel, up the hill for the big creatures, head south for the radscorpions and more big creatures head back and inland for the village that sometimes spawns tough mutants, over the lake from the motel for the seafood.

Take the road north for the random events and some ghouls.

Finish off with the gunners on the elevated road and home again, lumbered down with loot.

OK. I can't imagine leveling that far. My level 65 guy is parked for being a bit godlike. I actually find my level 35 guy levels too fast.

Idiot Savant is a godsend for quick leveling. Having max Int plus IS gives you a small chance of quadrupling experience gained randomly. It will go off a let less with max Int, but when it does (especially when turning in a quest) you will get loads of experience points.

Idiot Savant would be useful, were it not for that god awful noise. Tried it once and reloaded a save, couldn't stand it.

I have max INT and IS. That's about the only viable way that I can stand leveling. Although annoying, the triple XP from kills means you can kill a handful of high level enemies and get 200-300 XP per kill. Which is why I'm questioning why Bethesda didn't just make quests give higher XP rewards for higher levels. Killing a few enemies takes a few seconds, and I get more XP than doing a 10-15 minute quest. It gets repetitive and stupid especially with the Abernathy farm people getting kidnapped every 2 days. It's the same person every time. Like what the hell do you have that Super Mutants need so badly? Regardless, I just wanted to know if anyone knew any other effective leveling tips. Good locations to kill tons of enemies. If anyone knows, let me know. I appreciate it.
