I think.... I do not care for my perks affecting my dialogue choice.
but Dialogue choices should lead to more various outcomes rather than just leading to 'I will come back later when I can comply with you'
Agreed, more variation in dialogue and more choices, but i do understand why people want Special and perks in dialogue choices. It has been a part of Fallout since the start.
Yeah. It`s understandable, but even in previous titles the non-speech skill related dialogue options were quite limited.
Handful of Gun/Explosive and other skills related dialogue options in the past... if this part is to be expanded we can use Intimidation perk to open brand new option in each quest. That could be fun actually.
they will never redo the dialogue system.
For that u need to wait for the next game. they maybe improve it a little but that it.
Choose another Developer to complain about it. Unlike most of them, Beth actually does spend effort on their DLC.
What's there to radically change in here? The game is already capable to run what people want. That Beth decided to not do it in vanilla is another matter (heck, data-mining revealed that there were some stuff like numerous SPECIAL checks but Beth just turned them off... in other words, the game can easily do the SPECIAL checking, and it actually does do it USS Constitution quest (where INT can be used to skip several quest phases)).
They don't need to redo anything. Four options are not that few that you can't get creative (the current problem is that those four options often lead to one or two outcomes when they can directly lead to four and indirectly to even more).
There are some dialog options that change depending on your SPECIAL already in the game. The game just doesn't ever point it out, and so we don't know how often it happens.
Far Harbor's storyline might be more "branching" - to me, it always seems like Bethesda's story expansions already take the next step forward in their design based on the feedback from the community. They're not a huge departure from what the base game did (unless the studio is experimenting with new ideas >.>), but they're always just a liiittle better; Dragonborn's dungeons were less linear, and had more puzzles. Dawnguard was their first attempt at a truly in-depth companion. Broken Steel opened up the ending for Fallout 3 (although tbh, I still don't think it's appropriate for developers to suddenly turn around and change their story because of fan backlash. You wouldn't ask a novelist or filmmaker to do that.).
Surely they'll add back the gambling card game?
there's no way we can know that. But it's very unlikely to have lots of detailed dialogue options at once anymore.
The only moment when i felt my stats mean something was when doing the U.S.S. Constitution quest.
I really hope they expand on the ballistic weave feature. I feel like we should be able ballistic weave any & all clothes and we should be able to boost ballistic weave to 250 or around their.
Thats just my opinion
I played little over 200 hours and I'm not stopping anytime soon. I just hope they realize you can have plenty action in a game, without stripping most of the RPG elements.
It really wouldn't be so hard to give us more options, other than just kill, kill, kill.
I personally only liked 1 of the dlcs from fallout 3 though I did enjoy all of the dlc from skyrim, so I'm personally going to wait on this one. Also I see people post about the special check things all the time but they only mention the two I encountered on my own. The one you mentioned and the lady at the bar. Is there any other could you provide a list by any chance? Or are people just stating these two all the time and saying there are more when there are not. I cannot find a list of these anywhere.
Exactly however they can take into account peoples wishes and make Far Harbor story with more complex dialouge choices alowing for more diplomaciy etc..., but ofocurse its not realistical to expect them to change the vanilla dialouge sytem.(personaly i do like the switch over to voiced protag, sure the dialouge whell is far from perfect but take into account that is their first attempt at it so they are still learning and it should theorticly become much better in future games-similar to how it progresed in ME series or from DA2 to DAI).
