What I would give to have another ED-E around. I miss my little Eyebot buddy.

Would be cool if we could upgrade it with different parts and whatnot. They could even add custom paint jobs.

Sentry bot with an eyebot head?

Of course you peasants want a puny sentry both or a worthless Assaultron, all I need is a personal Liberty Prime to follow me while shouting patriotic phrases and nuking everything.

I have both Sentry and Assaultron bots as companions. That I did with about 3 lines of game commands (not a mod). I would not suggest any large dlc with such companions, but rather a small mod Bethesda can give out for free to PC and console users because we're willing to test stuffs (beta etc) that should actually devs/QA do before they release something official. The bots works prefect and they do fit together with other settlers and who dare to attack the settlement, will taste something "bad"

It would be nice-if they looked like how they did in 3 and NV. These new ones are so ugly

They don't so leave them outdoors, watching, looking, searching....

Well, they're both tripods with torsos on them, but the styling is pretty different. Fallout http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Sentry_bot_%28Fallout_3%29 are sleek and sci-fi looking, Fallout http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Sentry_bot_%28Fallout_4%29 are big and blobby.

Sentry Bots tended to be a "too big" problem in Fallout 3 and New Vegas, though they could be great fun in open terrain shooting down at enemies in a ravine or chasm.

For all these new additional followers, I hope they will somehow be able to board a vertibird along with the player.

Using the hacking perk I've already used both of those as companions.

It was alright for some amusemant value but not something i would like to do all the time.

Of course the hacked ones have a finite life and go in all guns blazing before they are eventually destroyed.

Also the settlers attack them on sight as the hacked ones are aligned with opposition factions.

I don't know how the dlc would manage that.

Would they lose health, take a knee and you repair them somehow or would they expire and you scrap them for parts.

Though I can't remember the details, I've heard that Bethesda have already made certain decision from F3 the official lore - little things, but things that you and I could both have done differently in the game! They could have decided that the peaceful solution is what actually happened...
